Cruised across Alligator Alley doing 120+ in a '64 Fury with 318. Very foolish but fun at the time.

Too funny, that's the same road I did my 150 on,from Naples to Ft. Lauderdale !! We were headed over to Tree Tops Park for the Fla Mopar Nationals !!Me,a Rumble Bee, an SRT8 Charger and a Viper !!:cheers:

ive been 155MPH on a STOCK frontend with the factory bushings, balljoints, idler, etc with 15" rallys and bfg radials. in my dads 71 demon 15 yrs ago.

143 mph and spookie it was dead straigt 65 model std f end 3550 lbs had 90/10 s thats it

143 is what I could get on the 150 mph speedo of my 70 340 Duster at 6000 RPM years ago but I still had more pedal but enough brains even at 16 to 18 years old that bad things would happen if I went any further.

my old '68 dart with a 340 had a rally speedo went to 120 at about 5 o'clock on the dial, i had the pointer back over at about 7 o'clock so i'm guessing 140ish

p.s. that was with a quadrajet carb lol

135 In a brand new 1971 Duster 340 4spd w/3.23 rear end while blowing the doors off of a 1967 SS396 Chevelle on I-65 north around Bowling Green KY. in April of 1971, then 131 in a 1972 Duster w/a built 440 in a 1/4 mile .

speedo said 85 in my scamp on 106/107, completely stock front end, 225/6, 7 1/4 gears unknown. not sure if the speedo is right though, never had it checked. i didnt go any further, though i think it could, cause the front end rides high right now and it started to lift a bit....scary. once i get the suspension dialed in well have to see if it can go better ;)

Needle was bouncing on alternator in my 71 gran coupe,so 140 or so

150+ MPH 69 Charger 383/727 323 gears. Stupidest thing I have ever done. It was in San Diego on Miramar Road racing a 396 Impala in the Fog, Yes I said Fog! I was 16 Years old in 1983. I still get the heebie jeebies thinking back on that day.

143 mph and spookie it was dead straigt 65 model std f end 3550 lbs had 90/10 s thats it

on the 1/4 mile at 143 ,dont think i would drive down the back roads holding it there

I think mine got up to 3 when I rode in it off the trailer.

9.60 140.5. In 1964 Belvedere 1.. 440/ Indy Heads/Alloy Rods/ 8.3/4 with Cal Tracks..

67 Plymouth Satellite, worn out 383, 2.93 gears, 130+? Pedal to the floor for about two min, going down a straight stretch of freeway, spun No. 1 rod bearing.

105mph freeway on ramp, 69 Superbee 440, i learned something from my Satellite incedent.

~90 before I touched anything on the dart, worn/missing bushings, collapsed shocks, OLD tires, lots of steering wheel play.....talk about scary!

bout a 110, maybe a little over,...in a late 70's 2 door Diplomat with a 360 and 904 w/a lockup T/C,....114 in a Jeep Cherokee,(never do that again, friggin scary),....112 in a Horizon,...105 in my Olds when a front recap came apart,....didn't blow, but tore the crap outa the whole right side,...

I have pined the 150 speedometer in my 440-6 superbird on ocassion.....and it was'nt breathin hard yet!

Speedo pegged 120+ for 2+ hours, on I-70 east bound through Nebraska. Started around midnight. Cut off 2 hours of drive time from CO to MI. BTW, 72 Demon 400/727, std. /6 front end.......scary yes, fun, ABSOLUTELY!!

In 1992 I AVERAGED 158 MPH in a '72 Roadrunner between Conyers GA and Augusta Ga on I20. all stock suspension, steel belted front tires, and Good Year PolyGlass on the rear. I should be dead. lol David
