whats the fastest you have been on a stock frontend????no rack and pinion or a arms..just the stock k and uca and lca from ma mopar ........:burnout:

I know a guy with a b-body. Nothing but stock up front.......... Runs 9.70's in 1/4

Stock front end is fine, there are 8 sec 1/4 mile cars that still have torsion bar suspension.. super stock hemi cars come to mind.... All the talk about aftermarket front ends, is to say "look what I bought" and for header clearance. They offer NO OTHER benifit other than that.... and putting ALL your suspension loads, as well as the engine weight, right in the middle of the front frame rails, is a bad idea, long term wise...Mopar knew what they were doing when they designed there suspension system....

I'm pretty sure Bobby Isaac set the closed course record at Talladega with tbars. 212mph average or somthing like that can't remember. But that was in 1969 so it doesn't count anymore I guess.

155 MPH. '73 Cuda 4spd. Not a drag car but a true everyday ride. Why?

140 mph in a 69 1/2 440+6 Road Runner
135 mph in a 70 383 Road Runner
130 mph in a 71 383 Road Runner
120+ in a 68 Coronet 318

130+ with my 340 4sp Dart on factory redlines back in the day! Brains were not part of the equation back then, just speed!

How quick are the SSHemi cars running?? I had one of my old 340 Darts up to 125 or so..

...................I've been caught on radar at 168 mph...........kim..........67 dart gt mild 340 auto street car................kim...........

Cruised across Alligator Alley doing 120+ in a '64 Fury with 318. Very foolish but fun at the time.

90 mph in a stock 70 dart with worn out suspension and slant 6.....it was all over the road.....

135+ down sunrise highway 67 cuda notch. 360ci xheads. stock front susp wit 90/10s. was a few years ago as these days i rarley go faster than 100mph anywhere on te street. 135 in a stock suspension street car wit lap belts no cage and the engine screaming at 7k is down righ scary man!!

I wound out a 318 with 3.23's and 235/70/14's on a long stretch of 101 going north out of town. It kicked out 3 rods at about 5500.

135mph on a main highway 30 years ago in a hemi 6 e38 bathurst valiant charger

200+MPH in a 911 Turbo on the Autobahn (and no it wasn't just for a 1/4 of a mile!).

Honestly my speedometer hasn't worked the whole time I've had mine. All I know for sure is its ran 112 in 1/4. That's all gonna change though since I bought a t56 the other day.

Back when I was at Miramar, I discovered I-5 was uh, "under used" at 0600 on Sunday mornings. I used to get up early, and crank that thing up Northbound, up to Del Mar and back.

My first was the 69 RR, 383 4 speed, 3.23s, headers, Edelbrock, Holley. 130 or better

After I bought the 70 RR, 440 sixpack, 4 speed, 3.54. 145+ many times

64 Dodge "440" body, 426. Easy 125. Not quite as stable as the 70

I had the needle bouncin off the 150 in my 70 Bee, and that was with bad UCA bushings.

T bars are making a comeback.

It's really a beautiful design...and user adjustable.

While I'm a big fan of rack and pinion steering, I'm also a big fan of torsion bars.
(except for the afore mentioned exhaust clearance)
