Here is always good. You have a captive audience here plus the safety net of good members.
one key factor is matching the car you're selling to the buying audience. people cruising CL and offer up or market place looking for a deal aren't likely to be interested in high dollar restored cars; just as you're not going to get anything like real money for a project/beater at a higher end auction.
for middle of the road cars that are quite nice but not super bucks, i've had really good luck with auto trader.

Fees for selling seems to be a bone of contention. I'd try here on FABO. Word of mouth goes far and it's free.
