I'm looking to convert my spare tranny to full manual reverse valve body this winter. Which one have guys used and how easy was it to install?? Jeff

Cope Racing has a nice unit. You need to make sure it has low band apply. Many do not and that is very unsafe...

How can I get ahold of him? Isn't he a member here?

A valve body without low band apply is not unsafe. If you know its limitations and how to use it there are no problems. Now, if you drive like a moron........ all bets are off. If you're using an aftermarket shifter by all means go with a reverse valve body. If you're using a factory console shifter, you might consider a forward manual valve body (T/A). I like mine.

been using the same old turbo action cheetaz manual reverse pattern valve body for over 26 yrs.... bought it in 1982....

like noted...a man has got to know his limitations....

Cope has a gate to replace the stock console shifter gate to make it compatible with a reverse manual VB . the reverse pattern VB's control the trans better according to Cope.

If you are not racing where every .0001 makes a difference then there is nothing wrong with the extra safety that you get from a low band apply VB .

I believe if you do your research you will find A&A Transmission make the only RMVB w/LBA - the rest just sell them.

Please explain the limitations you are refering to? I understand that the biggest problem is doing a burn out with non low band apply lets the trans free wheel after letting off throttle. If left in 1st gear. I would like to here your input on rmvb non low band apply cause that is what I will be installing behind mild 340.Not meanining to hi jack thread. Thanks Kevin.
