Which small block A Body is the most sought after

-
I may have misspoke, everyone knows the Hemi cars are miles above the average A-Body. The best A-Body is only bringing 1/2 of what a Hemi car will bring. But then! How many of us can afford a $1,000,000 plus car? I can't but if you can, I hope you enjoy your toy. Can you really afford to get out and hammer a car that is worth $1,000,000? If you ruin the block, it's only worth $50,000 at best with the wrong numbers. I hope you laugh at my post because that means that you can do what you want. But honestly, I think everyone would take it out and run it hard for a while just to see what it was like. Peace!

Likely any of the 68' factor lightweight cars.

The title question is....

"Which small block A Body is the most sought after ?"

The 68 Hemi Lightwieghts, 67-69383 and 69 440 M-code cars are all big blocks.

if its a mopar it sought after end of story :toothy10::toothy10::toothy10::toothy10::toothy10:

I think we are talking factory regular production vehicles.

Prototypes, show cars, and dealer modified are not production. That is a seperate catagory.

I would have to think 68 is most sought after. I have a Barracuda and had a Dart I personally like the Darts better not sure why I sold it.

1968 GTS 340 4 speed that would be my most sought after car, mostly all original

1966 D/Dart ??

My favorite would be a the '69 340 GTS (naturally) :) followed by the '67/'68/'69 convertible 'Cuda. 273 in the '67, 340 in the '68/'69. Love the lines of the 'Cuda with the top down.
We're keeping it all LA engine here. NO Hemis or 383/440's allowed.

This one with the rare red stripe hubcaps!

Oh and check out his rating on his only ebay sale!

Forgot about the 66 D-Dart. That may top out in price for small block A-bodies. Problem is finding one that hasn't be hacked up a lot and has it's original parts.

Wonder what a restored 66 D-Dart with original parts, fender tag, and good paperwork would go for on the open market??

IHMO a nicely fully restored 68/69 340 "S" or GTS 4spd convertible is around $40K in the current market.

With all of the kits available now to install whatever engine you want into an A-body ,the most SOUGHT AFTER A-bodies will probably soon be the super-straight /6 and 318 cars that once brought the groceries home.

LOL! Well that is true. One day the most produced A-bodies the S/6 cars could all be moded out with V8's. But to look on the good side. It will take less time to get the groceries home:cheers:
