Who has the highest revving small block?

How did you build it to handle the stress? Does it sound good?
426 oyeah has one spinning 9,000 rpm . Mine taps out at 7200 rpm , have a buddy that hits 8,000 at the end of the track with a 408 . but for most the 7000 range is it

Just for clarification, I think you may be confusing the guy who started the thread (post #64) with the video I posted a little farther down (post 72). Not the same.

Keeping on topic - about 8-9 years ago the stock stroke, W2 headed 340 in my car was shifted at 7,200 with a Mopar Performance .528" solid flat tappet cam. Good for low 12 second ETs @ 110 or so. I thought that was screaming!

About 6 years ago I built a 416" which makes peak power around 6,2-300 rpm abut probably double the torque of the 340 at lower RPM. No times yet.
