That's what I'm asking for what engine hp and what's your best pass?

750 avs from 440 magnum, ld 340 intake, home ported J heads with 2.05" valves, 11:1 with quench, 20-249-4 comp cam, 1 3/4" hookers, 4.56 gears

Well my real question is what I'm experiencing I wanted to know what your ets are with hurst comp shifter vs stock. Because I've had quite the et cut down from that long linkage to the short and a little gear work... thanks.

My old combo was a 440/500" stroker. 760hp on pump gas. 18 spline Hemi 4 speed. Mr gasket vertigate shifter. All steel car 3,700lbs with me. 28x11.5" slicks. 4.30 gear. Super stock springs. 10.2 at 135.

My current set up in my 66 Dart, Jerico with Hurst ram rod home made linage and shifter plate to put shifter through stock hole in floor tunnel and McLeod soft loc clutch. Dart is street legal, even drove it home from Carlisle Pa. over 250 miles to upstate NY and averaged 13.2 mpg after kids jeep died on rt81. Dart has pump gas 416 sm block and 4.10 dana60, its best time so far is 1.49 60 ft 10.709 @ 125.87 through the exhaust. all I do is pull the 255 60 drag radials off(useless with stick car) an put on the 9x26 Hoosier slicks for the track.

With this trans combo vs stock how Much et do you think you dropped vs stock shfter

I had this same shifter on the 833 4spd with a 2000# borg beck long McLeod clutch and the Darts ran mid 1.5 60 FT and mid 10.90@123. The Jerico and the 833 have very close gearing with the Jerico having a 3.04 first to a 3.09 in the 833, so I would say that most of the 2.5 tenth E.T drop is all in the soft loc slipper clutch. P.S. almost forgot before the ram rod shifter I had a comp+ shifter with a 71 B body pistol grip handle the different was only in the hundreds of seconds.

I have a picture of how the ome shfter looks I can find one of the comple stock

I never ran the stock set up. The car was a 273 four barrel auto when I bought it 17 years ago and I changed it over soon after. Always ran the 3.09 trans for a better launch. The big mistake I made was the first clutch I ran, a centerforce DF clutch, very inconsistent, hit way to hard, and broke way to many parts. You need that clutch slippage to be consistent and fast and the best part is the parts breakage goes down. even the 2000# pressure plate and sinter iron disc wasn't enough slippage. That's why I run the adjustable clutch now, you keep tacking clutch out till you get the best 60ft then you add weights to the fingers to lock the centrifugal part of clutch back up in high gear.
