WOW, that is incredible. What a dream to be able to pick through all of that to keep what is cool...ebay what you do not need.

Like someone else said, time to buy a lottery ticket...

OH....My....GAWD!!!!!!!!!

A lot is rusted crap, but you could probably retire on selling just the CONSOLES! Whatta find.... I remember reading the article in Hemmings thinking to myself "How the hell do you catalog all that?" Looks like someone can find out.

Can you imagine what it must be like living beside this guy. I'll betcha his neighbors haven't slept in 30 yrs. That said, all those pictures gave me a woody.

I can sell off somthing or someone. Hmm at least a $100 bucks here. I think that is the proverbial kid in a parts store.

I am sure that you would get every penny back and alot more....however there is alot of work to be done too....whats your time worth ?

Wow.

Just reading the auction makes me tired! You`d have to hire a diverse group of knowledgable car nuts to sort, price, and market all of those parts. It would probably take years and a lot of money to liquidate. Personally I like the house, built in the 1700`s. Now that would be an awesome restoration!

demon seed, if I lived next to him, I would have a field day and put a post on here for cheap parts for sale and taking a list for more parts that you need.

Its like buying yourself a job. Thats why the guy won't sell individual parts. Its a job. I knew a guy in town here that collected GM stuff and stored it in trailers until he died. The guy that bought it used to own the Service Station across the street from the one I worked at when I was a kid. My boss's LS6 Chevelle was stored in one of the trailers since 1975. The story was in Hot Rod Magazine last summer. This ebay listing reminded me of that, only in a much bigger scale.

If I lived within 100 mile's of him I could start a new Hobby.
just two day's a week for the rest of my life.
Almost hated seeing this good stuf turn to sh*t

Gotta love that!

I get the sense from the comment about traffic being backed up for 2 miles that you have to relocate all that stuff, so you need to buy a 100 acres with proper zoning and spend the rest of your life trying to move it, not too keen on that part.

You don't see 6 German Shepherds standing on a Charger everyday

If some one with a disability of a sort,Or Just some one that hase an acked or old school raisen with nothing but car's and comen sense about them self,Was to look at it as something he or she would injoy, Organize it,To a long term life style, It could be a decent retirment,$$
I think I said that right? If this is something that inspire's you'
We all can see a living could be had here,So!! How mutch do you want to earn a year or the next 5 year's.
The internet sure has opened some door's for us.
It is possible to make ???? I do not know just sperting off at the mouth.
part's sure arent going down.!! Just me and my smile and a beer in my hand

ill bet a 100 bucks he aint married and none of you guys will be anymore if you bid on it. But hey id say its worth it

You are not buying yourself a job, you are buying yourself a lifetime. If you got the lot for $1.5M, you would probably pay at least $1M to get the stuff moved, then you would have to deal with where to put it, the EPA would probably pay you a nice visit and tell you, "you cant put that here!" If you were able to sell that stuff, you might get $6-7M, but then you are going to have to pay a staff and turn it into a business, you will have a payroll, taxes and a visit from the feds concernining waste leaking into the ground. The value of the parts are always overinflated by the sellers. Sure, there are probably a lot of good usable rare parts, but you are buying the lot, you will have to take all, good or junk. Then you will have to deal with how crazy is this old guy? Is he going to try and shoot at your workers because he thinks that they are taking stuff from his house? By far, that is the biggest CAN-O-WORMS I have ever seen. NO THANKS!
