Ya' want something REALLY GOOD? What local delicacies do you like in your area?

If you like thin crust Italian Pizza I have two of the most famous restaurants in the US 10 minutes from me. Modern Apizza and Pepe's Pizza which are on the food network a lot.

It's gotta be a Ponza Rotta from Jimmy's Grotto in Waukesha- kind of a stromboli/calzone, made from scratch with your choice of fillings and deep fried the way the Good Lord intended things to be- sooo good and soo bad for you... order two and save yourself the second-guessing.

Then come hamburgers from Mibb's & Viv's, a little hole in the wall bar in Lannon- big, thick hand made patties on a fresh roll with chips or fries and a pickle wedge on the side, served in a basket- nothing fancy, but they do it right!

And we can't forget Hot Wings from Club 400 (another little hole-in-the-wall joint- and for you trivia buffs, it was originally owned by Les Paul's parents) in Waukesha on Tuesdays & Thursdays- from plain to Ghost Pepper and everything in between, as big of an order as you want. Get plenty of local beer (this is Wisconsin, after all-they've got dozens on tap) to wash it all down- you'll need it!

If you are in the city of Camarillo California this is the best Donut place in SoCal. Debatable with Donut Man in Glendora, CA

Camarillo is between Los Angeles and Ventura.

OK Steve, you brought up Donut Man in Glendora so here's a look...

Their fresh strawberry-filled donuts are wonderful during strawberry season!

...and in late summer they do fresh peach-filled versions.
