Strangest thing found in your A body???

My dad bought our 73 duster from a little old lady up the street. original owner. said her husband died a few years back, so she only drove the car to the store and back. She decided since they took her drivers license to let it go. Dad surprised me with the duster as a graduation present. We wanted to freshen up the interior and change the /6 motor for a 360. well when we went to digging in the car we found a new pack of marlboro's from the 70s, a brand new pack of gum also unopened, and two used condems... didnt check the date on those, all under the back seat.. guess that little old lady crawled in the back seat with her husband a time or two.
 
Got a '63 Valiant Signet hardtop (Canadian) in '67. There was a bump in the carpet on the front passenger side. The carpet was worn down to the backing. Took off the sill plate and reached under the carpet. Pulled out a bolt with an attached washer. Was there from the factory and the original owner never even took the car in to have the 'bump' removed. Made the carpet look crappy.
 
In my Ford Fairmont I found a very old box of kleenex (Stanley Steamer on the back) and a small envelope full of fingernail clippings.

In my Dart, I found a dead mouse and a receipt from Service merchandise from the 70s. There's something about Mopars that mice just love.

I also got one of those error/corrections required sheets out from the trunk. Still have it. Somehow mine wasn't mouse eaten.
 
The best, a metric Snap-On swivel impact socket set. Found that in my LLV (mail truck) after they serviced it. I kept it in the truck for a few weeks in case the mechanic missed it, or remembered where he left it. Found out later the work was contracted out, so screw em' it's mine now.
Otherwise, a couple of hot wheels, happy meal toys and other assorted crap.
 
Replaced the carpet in my daughters (now wrecked) 66 Cuda, which necessitated removing the rear seat. We found a small box of candy cigarettes, a couple of matchbooks, a toy plate, some old socks, and lots of debris from the seat. Also an old fountain pen, part of a "protected" card (warranty?), and some old gum wrappers.

not sure if it would be considered strange but I found a live .22 round inside my dash frame and a metal "Mopars at the pond" plaque stuck to my visor and a few other little odds and ends
 
I found a watch in the seat, a shortened coke straw in the dash underlip, and 20 something dollars in change when I bought my 70 340 duster.

I found an OLD crispy joint in the dash underlip of my 67 valiant and tools and light bulbs in the lower trunk quarters.

I found all kinds of obiturary papers of the previous owner 'old black church lady' and spare parts galore in our '62 valiant v200 alum 225 car.
 
Woman's panties in the lifter valley of the 340 in a 1972 Duster 340 ... back in 1988 .

I was laughing so damned hard when I saw that ! God knows how long they were in there ; but given the car's 16 year age , and its 100,000+ miles , they were probably kickin' back in there since c.1980 or so .

wow i remember when that place closed down...you could see the coaster still standing for the longest time till they tore it down.
 
All I found in my '72 Swinger was a quarter from 1972 someone at the assembly line dropped underneath the carpet. Kinda cool, but not strange.
 
I found an old registraion card under the front seat that has the original black and yellow plate number and most of the VIN.

Just last week, two bullets down low in the trunk extension on the passenger side. They're fat little things not sure what size - maybe a .38 or something. Definitely not .22 though. Scared the crap outa the body guy - he was welding in that area.

reminds me of that Darwin award winner who used a .22LR as a fuse for his radio and it went off and shot him in the groin!

Oh yeah, found a bottle of tape head cleaner (straight rubbing alcohol) in the glove box, cops found it too. ;-( Buddy found a pipe under the carpet of his Econoline van, scraped the resin and toked it before high school. No me but him....
Found a "prayer rock" in our 03 Town and Country. It said "faith"..I feel a little uneasy letting my wife drive it now
 
Glad to see this thread get revived. I didn't see it before. Owning a wrecking yard for 30 years, we've seen just about everything. (The body parts are the worst!) One of the best was a '69 Barracuda we bought at auction and found over $1200 in Snap-on tools in the trunk! Found out later that the previous owner had been fired from his mechanic job and on the way home was pulled over by the police for expired plates and when they ran his name and number, found he had a warrant against him so he ended up getting a ride to jail and his car impounded. Talk about a bad day! Another amusing one was an overnight bag found in the trunk that had a gold sequined dress, gold high heeled shoes, sun glasses, a hand bag with a baggie of weed and a couple of crack rocks, a crack pipe, lighter, several different condom packs, and some KY lube....your basic hooker kit....just add girl! I have another one that I will post but I need to find an item to photograph to make the story complete.....gotta figger where the heck I put it...
 
while getting parts from a 66 valiant wagon i found richard geres ss card and about 18 lighters and a 70's vhs **** aqll under the rear seat.

the aspen.... i just found some herbal residue evreywhere i have stems in my windsheild stuck i cant get to.
 
Got the rolling chassis of my 62 Valiant drag car 1/2 way home and stopped at a friends house.His wife rehabbed injured squirles.The Valient was FULL of wallnuts from the Chico area, so we got her about 4 lbs of nuts out of the car!! One home, I discoverd a Hornets nest in the trunk...3 or 4 really nice American made wrenches, a couple of old car show plaques.
Prolly the best was I bought a parts (at the time) car 1970 Road Runner for $100. I bought it for the sweet black carpet and console!!! Thought it would be good to strip off all the other parts, and when I pulled the passengers side front fender, attached by bailing wire and bolted to the inner fender w/ a big flat washer was a 1/4 carrot diamond engagment ring.

Back around 1990, my dad bought a 1975 Newport for $300. After driving it home, we did the usual "treasure hunt" and discovered a pink shop towel folded and stuffed between the heater box and bottom edge of the dash. Assumed it was there to stop a rattle. Pulled it out, unfolded it and found six crisp 50s!!! Musta been somebodys "emergency roadside fund". Made the car free. He drove it for 5 years, then I drove it for a year. It finally wore out at 237,000 miles. Best free car we ever had.
 
I found 4) 12 gague 0-0 shot gun shells under the drivers seat.
Must have been the get a way car. Shot them off in the desert.
