I saw on another forum where they had this huge thread on vintage toolbox pics. It was really cool. I just scored a Kennedy Kit 260 box in near mint shape to build my set (Last one was stolen:().

So how about some pics of everybodies toolboxes!

He's so cute!
He reminds me of my nephew years ago getting little chocolate bars that i hid in there for him!

Awesome chests in here so far!

I've got a Craftsman GRIPLATCH ball-bearing stainless steel w/clearcoat top and bottom chests. The top is 6 drawer and the bottom has 11. Wish I had a picture of it right now! It's a thing of beauty...

I'm in the process of finishing my garage/shop while working on various projects, so I am embarassed to say that my boxes look like the bottom of a woman's purse right now. I need to do some re-organizing!

FB, would love to see pictures of the garage progression!

My Snapon

I really like the top 2 full length drawers. The tools I use most of the time are in both of them - small power tools in one and hand tools in the other. It is nice to leave the hand tool drawer open and pick/replace the tools needed without constantly opening and closing drawers all the time.

X2 on the Mopar toolbox

thanks, i dont think i'll be putting chocolate bars in there he would be bouncing off the walls from all the sugar! lol that picture is was about a year ago (2 yo.) he'll be 4 in sept.

That MOPAR box is the coolest thing I have seen. I want one!
thanks, i actually had it up for sale on racing junk a while back for 4500.00. some guy wanted to trade me an s10 for it LOL. i went to a snapon tool show and they had a special on these muscle car boxes. 7000.00 1000.00 off = 6000.00 + my 1500.00 my trade in = 4500.00. not a bad deal considering they only made 1500. MARK
keep the boxes coming!

It's getting kinda small now, thinking about a side box or something bigger....

I've been wanting to get some Kennedy boxes because I remembered those were what my Father and Grandfather had in their garages. My first toolbox was a Kennedy that over the years got misplaced" by movers. Today I scored a vintage Kennedy Stack and Cantilever tool Box with a vintage Waterloo top. Cleaned up great and very little outer rust and the drawers are immaculate! Even found an old micrometer and thermometer in it that fell behind the drawers. I'm stoked!

From the pics posted here I can tell you guys have been wrenching a loooong time. Since the build Im doing is only a couple of years old I just went to home despot and got a 10 drawer husky box, fairly cheap but it does the job of separating the auto tools from the wood working tools.
Now my wood working/composites tool box is worth mentioning, and you would be surprised how often during this build I have to dive into it for the answer.
It does have a removable top section and can be locked down if stored.
I know its a little off subject but I thought some might appreciate it.

tell you what, that chest is cool! reminds me of something that you would see on PAWN STARS that some guy would bring in that he found in his grandfathers garage! i like the way each tool has its own place carved out. very cool.

heres my box. Recently just ran out of room but then switched jobs went to honda and now i have a ton of space since we use the same tools over and over and over lol. saving me from having to buy a new box for 13k! this is my work box i got two smaller craftsmans boxes for my personal garage. Love being a mechanic tools are just waaaay expensive. 30k in just 3 years in the business.. Some nice boxes on this thread can't wait to see some more!

that was going to be my next toolbox color! I love the snappy purple. Everyone at work was busting my chops bc i wanted a purple box. I guess it doesn't help i'm painting my car pink either lol
