what time and day are we cruising from phx to vegas. and meeting location prior to cruising to vegas from phoenix
 
4 days 4 hours....I'm ready! Well,...as usual it's last minute things with my LRT. Waiting to get my driveshaft back in w/new universal joints. Had some vibration and slinging oil. Just didn't trust them. After removal, they were kinda loose and floppy. Glad I checked them.
 
yes..just a few shopping days left.....got a couple more thing to do...and we will be ready

LOL....I spent alot of today doing "wax on, wax off" :) Gotta do the interior tomorrow.

You're lucky that you live so close 8) It's over 300 miles for us, but looking forward to meeting lots of FABO friends and seeing the best of the best Mopars.

See all of you in a few days......I can't wait :D
 
was changing out distributors yesterday and killed a MSD 6...good thing i got a few spares...LOL..

all is good again...and hopefully with the timing set correctly...
 
Does MATS have events on Friday beside the party at the Cannery? And is the track open for the racing and car show on Friday? First time and I can't find any daily activities schedule anywhere.
 
Yes, events (racing, car show, vendors, etc.) going on all day Friday. The Cannery show & concert is more of an evening thing.....6pm or so.

got the driveshaft w/new u-joints in...no more vibrations and runs great...topped of all the fluids and I'm 'bout ready to roll. just pack up,load up & dust the truck off ( & buy cigars) . Any body going to meet @ Earnhardts Thursday morn? Look for the LRT. We'll also be at most gas stations rom here to Vegas....

I'm think that I'm fine. Yeah Jeremy said that you were taking your Firebird to the MATS. LOL takes some balls. :D
 
hey 68fishbowl, do worry cuz you won't be the only 1 that ain't driving a mopar. i am driving my silverado crew cab with my dad. i have a tow package if anybody needs a tow so long as you have access to trailer or towbar/tow dolly
 
I am very disappointed. With the cutbacks(layoffs) at work I and few others are all that's left to run a network of 21000 people. So after I pick up my trailer, gas up the truck make, my reservations I get the call to ship out to....Guam. Yes Guam. I will not be able to attend MATS and meet all the people I wanted to meet, blast down the drag strip, and go to the Cannery. Two years in a row this has happened. For those of you that will be attending have a great time. And for those that plan on attending Spring Fling I hope to see you on Sunday. As I don't get back home until Saturday. I'm pissed but blessed that I still have a job. Grrrrr. I wish everyone going the best of times.
Jeez. I even had a mini cam mounted between my headrest and seat so I could film my blasts down the 1/4 mile and post it for you guys. Take care

That's a shame, Doug. Guess there's no need to wait for you at McDonalds to join in our little convoy from SoCal. Bummer!
I shoot some pics and post 'em up for you and all the others that can't make it out to MATS this year.
Start planning for next year!
 
It is a shame because I had plans to beat you there and asking what took you so long. Of course it wouldn't be much of a caravan after about two miles with me going 55mph and you guys going 70!
Could you take photos of our FABO members so I can put a name to a face?

I like that idea...the picture to put names w/faces. lets do that. Idea would be to set up a sign in sheet at the FABO tent or a time and location maybe on Saturday or Sunday for this photo?... or just take individual photos and identify us all. I won't have internet there so I'll have to be updated at the booth...IT'S HERE!!! MATS tomorrow!!!

Oh no......hell NO.....LOL :) Might be okay since CB isn't gonna be there :eek:ops:
