Looks Great!!! I love the smell and look of a freshly Cleared car. The clear and color will never be as pure as it is right now.

It will be pretty close, I own a detail shop :D
Close, but not quite!! Looks Great and the color will look great outside. You ought to be able to have it completed and driving by Monday, right.

As long as I find a sack of cash tonight. Next step is wet sand and buff, Then decals.

Awesome Adam! Looks great, I hate wet sanding... Just did a black Chevelle for a customer a couple months ago and my body felt like I was 80 after...

Looks good!

I thought it would be fun to come up with a goofy name for my goofy '70s orange car project thread and I ended up with The Great Pumpkin.

Maybe yours can be The Great Pickle.

Im gonna use the D/A. 1500/3000/5000 grit.

using a wet or dry?

I always di the old 1200/1500/2000 by hand wet- the wet sanding machine always left deep scratches that were difficult to buff out, but I am interested in this method going up to 5k must make buffing a breeze.

Wet, 1500 just to nib the dust out. By the time you get to the 5000 wet is almost shiny again. The down side is the paper is about $60 for a box of 10.
