Yeah, I know what you mean.
Winter's a ***** here in SoCal.
Today was 75F with a wind chill all the way down to 74F!
Goin' to the Winternationals tomorrow to get my "nitrofix".
How can they call it Winternationals?? We'll have our fun soon!!

one of the ladies from church told me yesterday she hoped i get my plowtruck fixed soon, because its her favorite movie truck...she even showed me the clip of it

only problem is, my plowtruck is a bronco...and it isnt supercharged either

I love winter, I live in "lake effect snow" land, I just hate trying to working on the car in the winter!

My son came home from up north today.it was -38 when he left.

Harsh environments help make tough men. I would much rather get into a bar fight in Hawaii then end up in one in Canada or Russia.

Here in Ohio you can say I’m a little soft. It’s been getting up to around 30 this week which feels great compared to the three weeks spent in the negatives and single digits last month.

Yeah! What I love is, we don't get snow here, We Get ICE !
I'm ready to move.

The Guys from Ca. might as well enjoy the ride now while you can, before the Middle Class Haters tax you into electrics cars, or whatever they drive in Russia !
I'd be looking at moving to another nice place, while you still can.

Not hardly any snow in central illinois this year but has been really cold this year Right now hard to remember what tee shirt and shorts feel like

It's been an unusally cold winter here, but the snow hasn't been bad.

I wonder how many people here actually work outside every day? Rain, sleet or driving snow? No, I don't work for the Postal Service, just work for a company that doesn't care what the weather is like. The work has to get done or our customers will hire someone else to do it. They don't see us complaining in the sunny summertime wearing shorts and t-shirts.

Remember folks, There is something called "Global Warming" going on that we are supposed to believe.

One day,-35 wind howling and drifting snow. I’m crossing the bridge and there’s a hydro guy up a pole repairing a power outage. That day and that very spot had to be the coldest place in the province. I dont know how they do it.
I spent a year trucking water, filling customers water holding tanks. Winter-worst job ever...1982 hino LB with holes in cab and no heat. Worst money i ever made.

We got 6" of snow last night. I have been chasing the snow blower since 6:30. It was time for some coffee and a warm up. I will go out in a bit and finish up.

Well it's something my Dad used to say every winter.....Snowbirds are like hemorrhoids.....It don't take much to get them to come down...but it's hell to get them to go back up!!!

But you know I love you Guys/Gals.

Oh My...Wait 'til i tell the guys and their wives when they all get back from Florida in April.

My Dad used to say that phrase 50 years ago...I'm surprised everyone hasn't heard it?? It's like that episode of "Pickers", the guys that buy antique stuff on TV (Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe). The Pickers were picking in Texas and Mike made an offer on an item to the owner of the property. The owner was insulted by the offer and said, "Well bless your heart!",...then the owner turned to the other Picker (Fritz) and said in a whisper, " My Momma always told me to say that instead of saying ASSHOLE!!"
True "Pickers" story!!

Don't get me wrong....we like Snowbirds (if they go back home after winter's over). But if they keep staying (like many do) we'll end up overpopulated with a bunch of people who own snow shovels, windshield scrapers, electric engine warmers and snow chains!!

yeah.... we got it. I don't mind the cold/snow in Dec, Jan, Feb. I expect it. We don't need a calendar to tell us the seasons :)

Darn south Texas winters. 6 weeks ago it snowed 1/2 inch. Everyone had to take that day off. Then few weeks ago it got down to 20 two nites in a row. Froze and burst the plastic line that runs to well pressure switch. What a *****! But it sits outside under just a roof. Go figure!!!!??????
Darn cloudy today. Estimated high: 71

Don't get me wrong..i wasn't always a wuss.
i can remember many spring canoe trips crawling out of the tent and drinking coffee by the fire while it was snowing, and one particular trip paddling and portaging all day in a snowstorm to get to a remote lake.
...but i'm an old guy now!
