Stop in for a cup of coffee

LOL! The dog smells like lemons now!

Critter isn’t happy about it, but maybe he will think twice about rolling in nasty stuff next time.

Tomorrow, make up a bracket for a trailer ball. I have a push-pull bar for moving vehicles,6 feet long with a trailer coupler on each end. This way i can move non runners that have a ball mounted.
Then open up shed for dart and plan for sneaking a diff under it.

The fence Mitch is building would not be code here. At all. Can be crawled under/ over.
Can’t be crawled under, he installed wire mesh behind it per code. Only needs to be 4’ tall to meet the requirements. Out here, it is only intended to keep someone from wandering into the pool accidentally or small children from doing the same...hence the 4’ barrier requirement.

My daughter just called me, here is a quick summary of that conversation.
Daughter: Dad do you want to work on a project
Me: That depends what are you talking about
Daughter: Well Dylan's (boyfriend) parents are selling a 3-wheeler and I told them I would be interested in it
Me: How much
Daughter: Its free for me, they said I can have it but it needs work. Not really sure, what is wrong with it. Could just be a fuel line or bad gas
Me: Ok, sounds fun, Do you want to pick it up this weekend?
Daughter: Yep, and we can spend all weekend working on it
Me: What brand is it?
Daughter: Well its Yellow and if I remember right, thats a Yamaha.
Me: Yep, it sure is.
Daughter: Cool, I cant wait to get this thing running
Me: It will be fun, but it sounds like you've picked up some habits from your dad
Daughter: What do you mean
Me: Your wheelin and dealin
Daughter: Just starts laughing and says yep. I think I know a good thing when I see it.

Seriously, this just made me all warm and fuzzy inside. My daughter is 17 now, but she for sure has her dads traits, and doesnt mind the hard work to figure something out.

I so thought that was gonna end differently haha.

Hey be careful with them 3 wheelers, they roll easy if turned too sharp. From experience

hahahaha, Im glad it went the way it did.

Oh yes, I know. As does she. We've had quite a few of them. The best set we had where a pair of Honda 70's I modded them both with a big bore kit and holy hell those things where scary. We would ride them around the little town we lived in. I remember watching her come to fast into the yard and couldnt make the corner, so she plowed over my round Weber grill and smashed it.. Funniest damn thing I ever seen.

LMAO, we'll see if you say no.. Dylan is a good kid, I've had the dont lie to me and dont cross me talk with him. He now calls me Mr. Awesomness, everytime he sees me.
Trust me. I'll say no. But I'll get overruled by the wife. Guaranteed

I was just looking, California changed the laws about pools in 2018. My pool is not legal any longer per the new code. Would have to remedy if/when I sell.

A good Dad respects his daughter and knows she has her own life to live. Treat her with respect and strong guidance and she will stay close and learn from you for her entire life. Shut her down and try to control her life to your wishes only...and she will run away as far as she can...as soon as she gets the chance.

You’ve done good Ramie!

Thanks Dave!
all joking aside, i do agree with Dave. I honestly just want an open relationship with her at that age. I wont tell her no but I will have the requirement of meeting each boyfriend prior to the first date. I wont actually deny her choice but I want to be able to know who I need to hunt down should things go wrong

@straightlinespeed whats your daughter want to do after highschool? Mine's only 4 but she wants to be a soldier and then a doctor she says, doubt that'll hold but its cute nevertheless

@MOPARMITCH .
You asked earlier today about fishing.
Well no fish but a nice ride to the daughters lake cabin where we had a nice lunch. Great view. And I think she learned how to walk on water.
Her cabin is the blue one.

Shes always wanted to be a Vet, but sadly her grades are not up to that level to be accepted into any Vet school. Since I work at a college, she basically gets free college credits (so many per semester). So I told her to go there and get her generals out of the way, until she decides what she wants to do. Im not pushing her into going to college other than her generals. If she chooses not to so be it.
