Stop in for a cup of coffee

I really appreciate that. Here are a couple more I actually have pictures of. One is dated 1989. I was 13. Drawing and painting were my life up until graduation.

Those are also very good!

Perhaps you should consider reviving that talent and making it a part of your life again. You have the skills and instincts, you just need to hone your talent and you can become exceptionally good at it...and a professional artist.

I’m not being nice, when it comes to Art...I have no ego about what is good, or bias to be nice just to spare feelings.

You are far better than you may realize...and could become far better at it than you know.

I’m not kidding...I am completely serious. You have a talent that must not be wasted.

I have always liked art. Drawing and painting is soothing. Just get lost in it. May have to start making the time again. Here is a pencil drawing of my Mum's dog after it passed..

It is part of the reason I continue to do it even with a different professional career. It keeps me sane.

Just heard word. We will be trying some Iowa whisky. There was a group that sampled many but bought a barrel from Cedar Ridge. I hope to be sampling that tonight. You guys tasted Cedar Ridge at Ddaddy's.
Oh boy, is this stuff good.

I beg to differ ;)

Sorry, but I've seen too many hack jobs and build my own so I know that it's done right with quality parts...

If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself...

Here's the engine that I build with my buddy Eddie in his 69 Dart....

awesome ride/engine! Here's my 10.50's ride.

No problem with putting your own together at all, I have built many also. Not everyone has the tools, skills, desire, time, to put their own together, and some just see the value in a dyno tested, 30 month warranty offering. We just offer a cost effective alternative for those people.

Something random (as usual) incoming call was an 800 number, recording said to stop by the supermarket, get a credit for the crabmeat I bought in 2015 because the owner of the seafood company was found guilty of mislabeling. I feel like I should use the money to buy a useful gadget or something nice so I can say, "oh you like that, funny I came into a little money unexpectedly, and went ahead and treated myself."

I heard about that on the news the other day how some people were overcharged for crab meat...

Good that you can get something out of it...

Nice ride!!

I built my first engine when I was 13... It was a 340, and we made a few mistakes and learned.. I've built my own engines since... I used to drive small block a bodies as daily drivers as I could do all my own work and maintenance to keep them on the road...

I rebuilt the engine and suspension on a 68 Barracuda to take to college two states over and it was very reliable...

I had another 68 Barracuda that I bought with 200,000 k on it and drove it to 500,000 k... I had a 318 that I put together and got 17.75 MPG on the highway...

I had many spare parts on hand so if something went out, I could fix it right away... I had a complete brake kit for the car to do the brakes if/when they needed... front and rear drums, shoes, springs, hardware kits, all brake hoses, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, alternators, starters...

I also worked in an engine factory for 8 years... I learned to build them better with my experience there..

Just ran the the junkyard. Got dad a speedometer cable for his Barracuda and an air cleaner assembly that I thought was dropped base enough to work for him but it hits the high fuel inlet of the Edelbrock carb. At least it is sunny, upper 50s and a great day to walk around looking for parts

Then switch to a holley....

Very cool! I bought my dart above when i was 16. Learned as i went, probably did everything wrong 3-4 times before i got it right. I joke with my buddies now, every time i help them with something it turns out nicer than mine.lol I commuted to h/s and college in an 80's pickup, so changed many fuel pumps on the side of the highway, ignition pickups, etc. Sounds like we have some things in common. My crown jewel is the 600+ hp SB in the dart. I still build my pure race engines, but its BluePrint for anything I use on the street.
But I'm headed out for a business trip. You have a great day. nice talking with you.

That's cool that you had a truck...

We had a 79 Warlock II when I first got my license... It was a 4x4 and we used it to tow our cars to shows... It was also my back up vehicle when my car was down or I was between cars...

We decided to rebuild the 360 in it to make it better for towing... We had it honed, installed 9.0 compression pistons, file fit rings, valve job, Wiand dual plane, carter AFB, headers into Sonic Turbo mufflers that exited under the steps on the side, and the crane 340 replacement cam... It went from 9 MPG towing our car on a trailer to 11.5 MPG towing... It had much more power and tons of torque also... Our friends who were GM & Ford fans used to love that truck and say that it could pull a house off it's foundation... I could race the mid 80's Mustang GT's off a light in low on the transfer case and be on the front of their doors still at 45 MPH... Those Mustang owners were pissed off that a 4x4 truck could give them that much of a run... :BangHead:

The guy that we sold it to went 4x4'ing with his GM buddies once and one of them got stuck.... They used to give him a hard time for driving a Dodge :poke:, until he pulled the guy that got stuck out of the mud with no problem in our old truck.... :steering: They respected that Dodge truck after that...
