Ok well I may have corrected the problem.

I fixed the plugs, I started the car and it idled normally enough. But I used clear silicone to fill the gaps. The engine rpm was enough to move he plugs around and it got another leak in it.

So I need to get another semi pemanent caulk or some glue to hold them in place better.

Was there an issue with the old hat, or did you need a different one with the injection? You've done so much since getting the car, I've forgotten all that's been done.

Yea the carb scoop is not worthy of efi. It’s more looks then anything.

Your the one with a cool car. I’m just trying to keep pace!!

Thank you, I wish that were the case, my avatar is my motivation. The car has even more piled on it since I took this picture. I hope to change that in the next few months.

It will be a GT clone, and somewhat of a Hemi clone, mostly the fiberglass bits.

Well I got some permeated that’s gas proof. Going to put a good helping on n then add some gorilla silicone around the edge. Hope it seals this time!

Well I think I could the leaking problem. There was no gasket here. Just a o ring that was all dorked up. So I added a gasket and rtv’d the hell out of the threads. Hope that stops it!

Well on the plus side, that fixed the leak!

In other news I’m 90% sure the computer is junk!

So back to Holley it goes!

Well after racking my brain and getting help from the experts I found out the computer was bad!

So sent it back to Holley and they sent me a new one with a new O2 sensor!!!!

Holley you rock!!!

Well going to put them in the car and will try again.

That's the type of service that keeps people buying. Glad to hear it worked out for you. Now get that car rocking!

Yeayyyy! I loaded up the new computer. Plugged in the new O2 sensor and boom! It’s reading ! Finally!

All that’s head banging for nothing. I had a bad computer this whole time.

Also got brackets from RBS superchargers. So now I can connect the throttle cable to the injector hat.

They don’t really match. I may weld them togeather. Or something. Idk just yet.

Well throttle cable installed. Just need a stronger spring.

I also got the car to start and run!

Crappy part is that it pops. Like back fires in the exhaust. So I think I just need to take some fuel out of it and we should be back in business. Hopefully. Then I can terminate all the connections and make it permanent. Yeayyyyyy. (Fingers crossed)

Well got a Fuuuuuuck ton done! Not much was picture worthy.

Got the car to run, idle (at 575 rpm!), and rev! The computer and O2 were bad and Holley got new ones sent to me. I hooked up everything and the thing would still not run. After much monkeying around I found out I fouled out the plugs from trying to start it full rich 9,000,000 times. So new plugs (hotter). Then I got copper headder gaskets and welded the piss out of the exhaust, they said any pin hole leak could effect the O2 readings. Now she runs like a champ.

Ooooooonly took me 1.1 years to figure all that out.

Now I’m permently wiring the car now that I know everything works. So you can see the mass of wires are 80% gone. Cut. Trimmed and terminated. Still a bunch to go.....

I also wanted the racers feel to the car so my wife printed me these vynal decals to put on the quarter window. I don’t have a real class or a NHrA listener number, but it looks good enough for now.

Wires are wired

Here is the batch of extra wire. Love having a A body. Nothing is far away

Well I want to tackle the over heating problem. Sick of it. So I’m going to install a restrictor plate... but they r like 15 bucks for a set. Why?

I’ll make my own!

Well the water pump housing does not have a recess for a restrictor plate. Nor does the t stat housing...

The engine builder says no t stat. The radiator company becool said to use one. Or a restrictor plate minimum. That the water moves through the engine too fast with out it.

So I decided to work backwards. I installed a GM t stat from a cutlass. 195*. It was like .005 too big for the hole in the water pump house. So I filed a few of the edges and crammed it in. Fits super right so it should not leak or fall out.

I started the car. Let it run. Burped the system. And let it run some more. Temp stayed at 190 the whole time.

So far so good.

Well I added a fuel pressure gauge to the Holley system so I could keep a eye on that massive fuel pump.

Took it on her first efi drive to a car show and wine first place in the mopar category. Yeayy!

Found a few bugs. First one is that the voltage regulator gets suuuper hot and the car does not charge. 11.8 volts is what I saw the whole way home. I think I don’t have enough alternator for the car now that there is all these electronics in there.

Mounted the Holley 7.5” on the overhead rollbar. I had some 3” rubber insulated hose straps. I just drilled a new hole in the back of them to make a stud and connected it to the back with the factory hardware.

I can’t get a wrench back there so they are just finger tight but, the rubber is in the way so the nuts cant back off. And I must have a good amount of pressure on the because the mout is nice and stiff.

Did you notice the stuffed scatpack bee on the dash! New co pilot!

PLATE W/ A 5/8" HOLE IN IT WORKED FOR ME ON A DIFF ENGINE ----------

Got a pic? How did you put it in the water pump housing?

Just made it the same outside diameter as a thermostat , about the same thickness as the thin therm. flange , w/ a 5/8" hole in the middle . SET IN EXACTLY WHERE THE THERM. DID .

Bought the wife a new car. The dealer said he would let me put my car in the showroom. Hahaha I said careful what u wish for.
