Stop in for a cup of coffee

Damn toyotas.
Oil fiter cartridge is in a plastic cap. Need a special wrench to change it. Filter comes with a little spout to drain oil, every time i try it i break the spout.
Filter was so tight i thought i was going to break the cap. What a pain in the butt.
On to intake gaskets in the poly.
Yep!

Modifieds in Bako tonight where it will be 80ish at race time?
Or Sprints in Ventura Saturday where it will be 60ish at race time?
Decisions decisions

well, my wallet is MUCH lighter now. Just ordered a Snap on T40 set. Comes with the Regular Bit, the Torx Plus bit and a T40 removal bit(I called and apparently the Removal bit is coated in diamonds and has a tighter tolerance to help with stuck and rusty torx bolts)

2nd cup. Brain just waking up. Dog got in bed early this morning and threw up a little on blanket right in front of my face while I was sleeping. I woke up to her staring at me and knew something was wrong and luckily saw it before making a bigger mess. Got that cleaned up and finally got back to sleep. So ended up sleeping late. Thought about blowing off a work day, but I guess I will go in. should be a relatively easy night. I would probably end up working harder at home. LOL Unless they blow something up today, I am off tomorrow for a 'full' 2 day weekend at least.

Yehhhh…. So what do those gold plated beauties go for? lol

Just got home only good thing Harley stays in the car and usually is a chick magnet! I am done for the day also.

So, that's for a 3 bit set at least? Them are some special snap on industrial grade diamonds it the one ya know.... Could probably pop one out and have it mounted in a ring.
No. Each bit is 47.50!

That's crazy stuff right there. No way I would pay that for one use.
Well, I've broken 3 of the damn T40s already, 2 harbor freights and 1 Husky Brand. These damn bolts are locked in TIGHT!

Would really suck breaking the head off. Sounds like the threads are locked in tight no bit will help that till they are loosened somehow.

HF are guaranteed also. Try heat yet an kroil?
yeah, the HF, just instantly twist

Yep, it would. I've tried some heat to no avail. Factory puts a high temp epoxy on the threads that is resistant to oils...
What are you trying to get loose?

Tremec 6 Speed Interlock Bushing / Shift Lever Guide Bolt, #D7

Its steel in aluminum silly. It is seized/corroded/ fucked. Try CLR over night amazing what that will do. No way just epoxy will do that. Then believe it or not tydy bowl liquid for a short time and coke (soda) also can do it. Had stuff like that on aircraft all the time. They had a aluma clean on steroids which is on the banned list now.
