I think that happens with a lot of aluminum intakes. The Air Gap I put on this year was same way, had to notch the covers. The LD4D that was on there before it needed the covers notched too an it is probably 40+ years old.
Summit racing has these for $200 off clearance sale plus there is a mail in rebate for a free sump kit.
They are not on clearance now, Edelbrock has a new batch coming out in a week or so. The $350 sump kit rebate is over.Ok what exactly are they having a sale on? Do you have a link to the item?

I've been lookin at this system also, but two main questions are holding me back:
1. It seems like a lot of people are having to do a LOT of tweaking to get the systems to fit properly;
2. Will the thing fit under a stock hood (69 Cuda)?
I’m thinking the same way ^^^ I do have the sniper and have been pretty happy with it so far but I do like this setup, my concern aswell will it fit under a flat bonnet .. Might sit and see and let the others work out the bugs as there are always some with new products coming out.

Ok I know its a Ford but watch the video and it may help you make your mind up. Good comparison and info.
For those that wish to compare the relative height difference between their existing combo and the ProFlo4 this photo shows the vertical height measurement from the top of a cast rocker cover rail to the very top of the throttle body - 6.340” (apologies for the poor focus)

so I ordered the pro flo last year for a mopar 360 I also ordered the edelbrock 60775 heads to match and I'm having a clearance issue with mounting the intake manifold to the motor I tried using studs and different type of bolts but the only bolts I can get threaded are really short and im only getting 3 threads into the heads. has any had this problem before or have any suggestions on how to get through this and im avoiding shaving the manifold the hole im having issues with are the #3 hole and the #6 hole thank you
I order the bolts from edelbrock too and there too long the heads hit the inside of the intake manifold and I cant get them threaded I've even shaved the bolts to make them fit but still no luckYou'll probably need 1-1/2" long bolts in every location, with two slightly longer on the throttle bracket holes.
If you're using the bolts that came out of the factory iron intake, some of them will be too short
I order the bolts from edelbrock too and there too long the heads hit the inside of the intake manifold and I cant get them threaded I've even shaved the bolts to make them fit but still no luck
they are 1-1/2" hex heads and they wont fit the only ones I can get to thread are the 1-1/4 hex heads but that's only 3 threads in the aluminum heads the ones I ordered from edelbrock are 1-3/4 12 points they wont fit either. I cut one of the 12 points down to 1-1/2 and it still wont thread
Is the manifold surface laying flat on the head surface?
Almost sounds like the manifold needs to be shaved so it sits down far enough on the heads to line up. Was the engine decked at all? Heads shaved?[/QU
no the manifold is sitting flat on the heads its all brand new so no shave heads or decked
