Stop in for a cup of coffee

Beauty of a carb is that it supplies in direct response to the engine demand.
Especially once on the main circuits, fueling response from the boosters is instant.

But for some, punching numbers into a screen is simpler.
I like carburetors, especially for old school stuff, and obviously numbers matching cars . But....My 65 Belvedere will be far from Original, so I may use EFI on the Stroker that I put in it. Mostly because I never used one before....

Then there are those times when something goes awry with the hot rod that needs a push start to get it home :BangHead: . Can a fer instance 6 spd Challenger even BE push started?

While I hesitated to make the Leap to EFI on Cuda once I did I will never go back. You can mess with the tune for hours it is a blast. In fact I gave a custom modified piece of art racing carb to a member for hot dogs and a beer. I knew I was never going to use it again. If it is not numbers matching, take the plunge!

But you're good with wiring and systems so EFI would not be out of your skill range!
of course I'm still voting for carb if your doing a poll.
LOL
I think that new eddy and the newish 'street demon' with plastic body are both real interesting.

How is the reliability?

How is the reliability?

That's one area I'm a bit unsure of.

On the holley forum they have numerous complains against the sniper kit, other than it being non serviceable unless sent it for repairs it has repeated ecu failures.

But those failures are split in half between legit cases of a failed ecu and improper installation. Which is why they hammer hard on wiring & proper power & grounding in both the forum and instructions included with the kit.

Damn you interesting people! I've been glued to my phone ever since I joined this forum!
Most of the people in the Coffee House, we all have met. So it is just like shooting the **** over a beer with the hood up....MOST have met. And we all do crazy stuff.... A bunch of good people for sure...

Back from clearing snow off the driveway. Was a little worried about my snowthrower. Little old Toro didn't want to start when I got it from shed a few weeks ago. Had to run electric start a few times and then it smoked for a while. Today it started first pull and burned clean. Ran like a champ

Much better actually and my repeatability at track improved. It greatly reduced my deviations. Keep in mind we have dramatic temp swings up here which is really what drove me to do the conversion. Motor is a stroked 440 making just north of 630HP on pump gas. Car just a bit under 3k pounds weight distribution excellent. To say the car was temperamental due to outside temps is an understatement. Tuning was sheer chaos. Keep in mind I am not the best carb tuning guy either. The EFI solved both my ineptitude as a carb guy and manages the temp swings. And she starts every day easy. The one thing it is fickle if I run to low on gas in the tank. She will strand ya instantly if I don’t keep fuel level up a bit. Five gallon fuel cell tho.

Who's kit are you running?
