Stop in for a cup of coffee

So I’m pretty sure the Hemi in the wife’s car blew up today. Or at least is going too. Oil pressure light came on, checked oil, it wasn’t near due but I went ahead and changed it anyway. Put in new sensor, light it still on. No noises yet, no glitter in the honey yet. I’ve ordered a mechanical oil pressure test gauge cause no one had one with the right threads in town.

but it sounds like the wife is now gonna get the damn new car she wants.
Did you get the sensor from the dealer or parts store? For whatever reason, they don't play well with the aftermarket parts. Had a similar experience with a 2005 Magnum R/T, put in aftermarket sensor, light stayed on, got one from the dealer and the problem was solved. Dealer was even a couple bucks cheaper too, shocked the hell out of me. I put a mechanical gauge on mine and had 30 or 35 psi idling warm.

Autozone sensor, only one in stock in town. Dealer said 2-3 weeks

Yo BD sipping a little dessert and thinking about ya! Hope all is well in your world!

Sipping on a new buy. Cody Road Rye. A Iowa product from the SE corner of the state. Pretty good stuff.

I'd try getting one from the dealer before you buy a new car. Just my. 02
plan was to buy a new one in April anyway, been the plan. But I will try the sensor from the dealer, probably help us selling the old one if it’s not got an oil light

I have three Ram new model Hemis. I abuse them on a continual basis and love them. Not as quiet or smooth as GM products, not as well appointed as Ford product. But hands down far more durable and way less issues. Plus they tow like nobody’s business. We only have GMCs and Fords no Chevys in our fleet and simply no comparison on maint issues to our Rams. We recently hooked a heavy trailer to the GMC 1/2 ton and promptly curled the bumper and hitch, hooked to Ram and never looked back. Admittedly we abuse our equip on a commercial industrial landscape but simple fact is the Rams are less overall operating cost annually. Please note my guys could tear up a pry bar in a sand box. Ram for the win!

My new work truck is a Sierra (although I already have 85K on it). Like the truck, don't like the Space Kap they put on it, have had latch issues and unfinished fiberglass on the inside that our fleet didn't seal makes for itchy arms if I have to reach thru shelves and drag my arms across it. At least they put a ladder rack on it. Also good news, I'm getting a winch, needed to get in (move a tree- not supposed to carry chain saws), and out (of the ditch at a mountain site).

Why no saws?
