Stop in for a cup of coffee

It is smoking hot up here today, not as smoking hot as those legs from Vegas (thanks BD) but hot. Decided it was time for annual air out the hockey bag and gear. It gets a bit prime over the season!

Our high is 77° today.... 73° yesterday.... :D

I don't know why you all are complaining about the heat.... :poke:

This is why I put up with the cold winters here... When it's scorching for you all in the summer, we're tolerable.... :D

First campfire in this house. Picked up an old tractor rim from a local farmer. 44" x17". I miss having campfires. Working thru a migraine. Need to relax.

Fat girs with corduroy pants are banned,as well as any sort of open fire here in manitoba. The front lawn is crunchy. This is the driest it has ever been.

Well there it is. New 904 with GV attached. ***** was changing the rooster comb to work with one wire switch. Not a bolt in and go affair. Had to cut and weld the early comb to work. All good now...If I had more careful, cutting,I might not have had to weld. Issue was the "stop" at low gear. New style valve body is different. Much different.

We just finished another heat wave. Thunderstorms with heavy rain rolling through this evening. Cut grass around house today. Was pretty crispy, big weeds everywhere and generally looked like crap. So now it’s more even and still looks like crap. :)

Pleasant 72° here today. Tomorrow is a little different for this neighborhood. Chance of monsoonal thunder storms . Dry as it is around here, lightning is the last thing we need. The rain would be welcome, and I love watching a good electrical storm, but not being surrounded by dry brush.

Italian sausage sammich for dinner here, I didn't take a pic of it but Italian sausage with mustard and mayo is a never fail hit.

Home grown egg plant and peppers. For me some fish as well..... Not a big egg plant person

Our Speedway is not a Speedway this evening, much like last week's monster truck mayhem. Tonight is a rodeo and concert. Portable music stage in the infield. Small corral looking thing in the front straight right under the flag stand. I can see it now, those sprint car drivers next week telling their crew chiefs "WTF did you do to my race car? It smells like cow fecal matter."

Went to cut the new house and JD zero had a flat tire. Went to the small town Dollar General and of course they had flat tire fix. Clerk wanted to know if I was cutting yard, pasture, or field...really it all needs cut. "Thank you for shopping Dollar General" as I left. Gotta love small town. :D
Went to a neighbor and borrowed a battery powered mini air bubble...I need one!! Mowed, it rained, and decided to go to lunch with Cheryl. Back to the small town to an amazing Mexican Mom and Pop place. I go there weekly a time or two.
After lunch and the rain I went back and finished mowing. I went to pull the mower in the basement shop, and forgot the house alarm was on. It was blaring as I turned the mower off.
The alarm company calls and asks for the code...what code, no one mentioned a freaking code when I signed up a few weeks ago. The guy hangs up. He calls back a couple minutes later, tells me the alarm has gone off at my residences, and the person on call doesn't know the code, and the police have been called. No ****, I'm that person, you called ME BACK.
I called county dispatch. I explained I was retired LEO, would be waiting for the deputy in the driveway and not to rush. He arrived I saw his name tag and realized I'd worked with his Dad. All was good.
Nephew house guest for the last six weeks is gone and we are on our third bottle of wine...
Have a great night!!
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Early style, single pin switch
Three different styles

The part of the comb on the right is the issue...

Good Morning All! Ever lost the fuel filler nozzle from the gas can inside your lawn tractor??? Tried for awhile, no luck. Long hemostats won't grab it because can't spread them, tried grabbing with a hooked coat hangar... Vent cap is on top of tank and bigger but would likely have to remove body of mower, dang it!

I hate them damn things. Yes it’s happened. No I never got it out. And so far it’s not caused any issues

I hooked a fuel line while reaching for the nozzle filler but didn't hurt anything, went ahead and mowed the whole lawn. Will try fishing with different fuel levels in the tanks, have better things to do but it's bugging me for now...
