I agree, really there's not much more I am trying to gain. I did the intake wrong last time, I wanted to fix it. I think I have about 50-60 HP leeway before I'm putting my engine in danger of hurting the block.
If I had more time and money I'd put the engine back together as it was just to see what the tunnel ram will do but that's not just my time, that's taking up Dyno time too.

If what you’ve done this time around(along with the new cam) allows the curve to hang on better up top……….that’s where the big gains will come from.

Yes, that's what I'm hoping for.
 
A 1k higher(than 58-5900) hp peak for a 470” build with std port heads might be asking a lot(especially if the hp number is also exceeding 2x the flow number), but nothing wrong with aiming high.
Of course, you’ll have ports slightly larger than a true “standard” size port.

Edit: if you don’t mind when his engine comes off the pump I’d like to send you the observed and fuel flow numbers for you to get your eyes on.

And whatever else you want to see. BSFC? I will make some pulls with the air hat and send you that if you want.

Yes, shooting for a tweener 2.50 tall port.
The good thing is there's been plenty of 470s to compare with especially Andys testing.
 
New port size, not going to be real big.
Basically it's what my tunnel ram will allow.
I think it should be a good in between standard and max wedge size.

Man, that's a lot of work! Question - will the heat from welding affect the epoxy at all?
Yes, lots of work, I'm not sure yet about the heat tolerance, I'm going to try really hard to keep the thing from getting real hot
It's only about .100 thick so if I take a day to weld it should be fine.
