Do any of you run this size rear tire on your A-body? Care to share a photo?
Let's see some pictures like he asked for. That tire is about 29"tall. I sure wouldn't try it on a small-tub Dart/Scamp, that's for sure.
On my Barracuda, a wide tub car like a Duster/Demon, a 28 is about as tall as will fit, and I had to move the axle back a bit. Plus the wheel had to have the exact right backspace, until, I narrowed the rear and moved the springs over. Now I can run up to a 325/50-15 (27tall) inside the tub, but pretty much in a straight line; corners must be done with care.
I can run the crap out of 295/50-15s; my tire of choice..
i'd love to see a pic of them steam rollers! That tire is about 29"tall. I sure wouldn't try it on a small-tub Dart/Scamp, that's for sure.

Well for starters;Let's see some pictures like he asked for.
And you were asked twice more after that. Is it a problem?Well firstly;
OP said "care to share a photo?"
oh. interesting... what'd you do for wheels?I bought the DC offset hangers, and there was 3/8" stud left sticking out, so I fabricated a spacer, which 3/8ths was generous enough.
Wheels are 15 x 10s, cuz they keep the 325 profile narrow enough to fit INSIDE the tubs at my lowered ride height. No I did not roll the lips. Yes I folded them up just a lil to be sure they wouldn't cut the sidewalls if/when the rear-end squatted while turning.oh. interesting... what'd you do for wheels?
We were just asking for some pics of your specific car. Why is it so difficult? Help us understand.Type this into the search box, and see what happens
Post your 325/50/15 wheel and tire combos

I think he's trying to say he doesn't have any pics of the 325s when they were on the car, and they ain't on the car now.We were just asking for some pics of your specific car. Why is it so difficult? Help us understand.
If you don't have any photos of an A-body w/ 295/65s, then I don't care. I currently have 315/60s on my '66 Dart, so I understand completely the limitations of a stock wheel tub. I'm switching over to 295/65s and am curious who's run this size on an A-body. And yes, 295/65/15s will fit on my car. I built it to run big meats. That tire is about 29"tall. I sure wouldn't try it on a small-tub Dart/Scamp, that's for sure.

IIRC, there are a couple of Swingers on FABO, running 255/70-14s (28s), but 255 seems to be the limit, IDK, I chose a big-tub car on purpose.
Is that your car? Do you have a side shot of it?
315/65s? Is that a typo and you really mean 315/60/15? Either way, I'd love to see a photo even if it's not an A-body.I think he's trying to say he doesn't have any pics of the 325s when they were on the car, and they ain't on the car now.
I could show pics of my car with 315/65x15s, but they aren't on an A-body. No help.
That looks good! Is that one yours?
love to see a pic of how that all looks set up. the nearly flat springs are interesting.Wheels are 15 x 10s, cuz they keep the 325 profile narrow enough to fit INSIDE the tubs at my lowered ride height. No I did not roll the lips. Yes I folded them up just a lil to be sure they wouldn't cut the sidewalls if/when the rear-end squatted while turning.
My springs are nearly dead flat. They are orginal FormulaS 340 springs with a second main leaf added, eye to eye. The rubber on the factory pinion snubber had to be cut down for running clearance.
I think whatever he has now would be better than showing nothing.I think he's trying to say he doesn't have any pics of the 325s when they were on the car, and they ain't on the car now.

Memory failure. Yep, 315/60x15. ET street pro.If you don't have any photos of an A-body w/ 295/65s, then I don't care. Not mine (Always thought it was an awesome car). Hasn't been around since 2014....That looks good! Is that one yours?
Thanks. Looks like he's got 325/50/15s on his.Not mine (Always thought it was an awesome car). Hasn't been around since 2014....
My winter project is getting there.
Can you expound on what you did to get those under there? Looks great. Here's a shot of my '66 Dart with the 315/60s from when I was installing the headliner.
Mickey Thompson no longer makes the MT Street S/S tires in that size, so I'm thinking of switching over to 295/65/15s so I can run those tires.

Just a basic mini tub and sprign relocation, while also moving the front eye of the leaf spring back about 0.75" when we relocated the springs years ago.Can you expound on what you did to get those under there? Looks great.
