   There's a black Chevy Short box driving up the street. All jacked up with monster meats. Obvious he doesn't have it in 4wd. and it doesn't have Posi. One wheel peel all the way up the hill. I was wondering if he was going to make it.:rofl:

 bet his eyes were as wide as dinner plates.

hence why i suggested the factory retrofit
I would like AC but until I find a kit it probably won't happen. Someone needs specific compressor brackets for the Poly. That application would cover a few years. The factory heater is a goofy system. I need to pull mine and see if it needs a heater core. I had a leak. I can't imagine the factory AC system would be simpler. The aftermarket systems are modern with conditioned defrost and the like. Also designed for 134a. Those small compressors are efficient, lightweight, and quiet.

Well I'll put it like this. Its simple enough that Sparky figured it out and got it working.

And yes, the poly takes specific brackets to mount the FACTORY AC compressor. HOWEVER, you can find them rather easily. There's a junkyard that has several in them near me, I can grab one for you next time I go. You'll probably need that whether you go with an aftermarket system or not.

Also.... Just so you know, an LA bracket will bolt on. You'd have to play with pulley spacers to get it aligned with the rest of the system, but it is do able. I ran it on my poly until I found the right brackets.

Quick trip to AAA for DMV renewal purposes was completed. Then the Hemi Express decided I needed a breakfast burrito  . To keep that stand alone A/C unit happy would probably take an additional battery and a Peterbilt alternator for that kind of amp draw .

Freezing rain made my first plane late. So, I missed my connection. Hanging out in SLC, for 10hrs

Can’t “like” that one, sorry. I started flying/ traveling for work for various employers starting back in ‘96, and it wasn’t so bad back then. But by 2018 it got to the point where, as a Contractor, I would rather drive up to 12 hours, on my time, to conduct training, just so that I didn’t have to deal with airports.

I feel for you, Eric. Good luck with your travels!

One of my boys works on windmill towers and would have to fly to different states all the time and got tired of having to deal with layover time and started taking his own plane and saved a bunch of time. Went with him sometimes and had a hell of a good time.

I took a very “beginner’s” course on flying when I was back in High School, and upon successfully passing the class we (the students) got to take a short trip with our classroom instructor, and actually fly the plane during the flat and level portion of a hop.

I turned green with motion sickness about 30 minutes into it….

While the neighbor kid, and one of my best friends growing up, became a successful pilot for FedEx.

I'm use to small plane flying but I keep my hands off the steering wheel. LOL

I used my Dewalt cordless snow blower on the front steps and sidewalk. It works pretty good. I need to remove that little safety tab on the controls though. It's next to impossible to flip with gloves on. Good idea but not really.

ouch, better than Chicago O'Hare. I was stuck there once for about the same time on the way back from Camp Pendleton.
