I am thinking of buying this car. I saw it last night , fell in love , couldn't sleep, you know the drill. Cali car , orig paint,60K,318 car with power ft discs,8 3/4 and AC. Factoy FM radio. (vinyl roof is off) Opinions please. My 65 would have to go (maybe). :-x

Nice ride. Price would help alot. But nice car.
 
whats the deal with the roof? looks like maybe it had vinyl at one time but now its painted without the chrome trim..


nevermind. i see now you say its off.

6500 up here is like 4500 if it was in California. I would have to have it shipped. I think 6500 is fair because we see very few cars in this condition.

Needs paint, roof put back.The PO removed trim and was getting it ready for paint. Runs drives nice. New brakes. New BFGs. Looks to need very little.
 
I'd do the price if it was as pictured. Not needing a paint job and vinal roof reinstalled. It is in nice shape though.
 
Hey Wally, looks like a nice car, and I know these things are hard to find here. How far away is it?? If its a good distance away, you will have as much into delivery, paint etc as you will have paid for it. Even if you lowballed paint and delivery, you are looking at 10-12k. If you like it get it, but for that $$ you could afford to be real picky about what you get....buckets, console, 340 car blah blah blah, but its up to you. Looks nice though!!

Before I comment...is it the car of your dreams? r u OK with the 318 and bench seats?
or would you "prefer" a 340 and buckets? this is YOUR call....ONLY YOU know if this meets all your expectations....and if it does and you want only a lil work to do....like replacing vinyl and given her a paint job..... then I say go for it..... just remember decent paint jobs run anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000, vinyl tops are only around 500 installed, depending on vinyl you select..... HOPEFULLY you are planning on some other COLOR beside the "sick baby poop" that is currently on her....it is a nice car BUT that color is GAWDAWFULL

The car is missing some trim, will it come with the car? What is on the dash, looks like carpeting of some sort.
Paint will cost...
Because the car is in Ont guys think that they have gold for something. It does look decent, but can't really tell with the few pics. What about the underside?
IMO the car is only worth half of what he is asking.
Are you loosing sleep because it is exactly what you want or because it appears to be in decent shape.
Truthfully, what do you want to do with the car?
Just drive it, 340/360, 440, gears, buckets, 727, 4/5 speed, street/strip, 400, 500, 600 HP.....
We all go through this, but YOU must be honest with the intended usage.

I think it,s a fair price for what it is...A clean Cali car with 318,A/C,8 3/4,new BF,s $$$.Americans need to realize that we don,t have these cars as daily drivers(salty winters ate them up years ago)and what we do have up here has either been restored $$ or has a bunch of bondo in it or frame replacement.Your not gonna find a 340,bucket seat car for $6500 around here,maybe $12,000 if your lucky.If it,s what you want and are willing to put some money into it,to make it exactly the way you want it,then buy it.A rustfree body will be easier and cheaper to have redone then having panels replaced,then painted.(ask me how I know?LOL)EVERYTHING in the states is atleast 1/3 cheaper than here in Ontario,Canada.I,ll step down now..
