Here it is. I went to look at a 67 Barracuda notchback today, and took a bunch of pictures. I'd like your guys' opinion on what its worth. And please no 'I bought a 67 Barracuda 383 car for $300, mint condition, so that's what its worth', because that doesn't help me.
The quarters are bad, and there are no front fenders. The front bumper comes with the car, as well as an extra trunk lid, and an extra hood with the '340S' emblems. The car has a rebuilt running 360 4 bbl (750 cfm), rebuilt auto tranny, and an A body 8 3/4 rear with SureGrip 3.91's. The owner upgraded the front to a clean set of big bolt discs. Buckets and console. The buckets have no tears, and the rear seat is good except for the very top rear. The dash pad is good, with no cracks, and it comes with an extra. The headlight bezels are in the trunk, as well as the door handles, mirror, and some extra trim. The doors are mint. All the glass is good, no cracks or chips or fogging. The floors are good. The frame rails are all good, no rot at all. The grill is good with no cracks, except the passenger side signal lense is cracked. The tail lights are perfect. The right side reverse lense is broken. All electrical works.
The car has been painted maroon, but the original blue paint shows through in some areas, so originally blue with white interior.
The guy wants less than $3000 for it.
The way I see it, is the expensive mechanical parts are there and done. The body does need attention, but its not too too bad. I know some will say 'Look for another', but honestly, where I live, there aren't any 'others'. They are very uncommon around here.

This way laying underneath, looking up at the trunk pan. The only rot was around the drain plug.

This picture isn't of the brake booster, but of the hole in the trunk behind the rear wheel well.

that car doesnt look bad at all. Id go for it! a few patches welded in here and there with some tlc and finding a craigslist or ebay deal here or there shed be up and running/looking good in no time

ok I gotta ask what happened to the fenders?

For less then 3k I would say go for it for whats there.

It is getting harder to find fenders for second generation Barracudas. He probably sold them for a decent amount.

If you brought that car home today, what would you do with or do to it ?

Grab it Mike. Getting harder and harder to find in decent shape. Dang I just sold a pair of fenders a week ago!! What about the rear window trim??

I agree, overall it looks solid enough, how are the floors? And ya, what happened to the fenders??

Not to bad, considering 44 yrs in Canada.Mike I have a 67 fender here you can have. It,s not the best shape, but is a fender a member was gonna throw away,so I took it for anybody needing atleast a 67 Barracuda drivers side fender.Just thought I,d offer it.Good luck.

I just put on a passenger rear quarter on my 68 and it fits really nice! Bought it from Cross Canada.

Go for it I paid 4500 for mine and it needed a drive train!

I don't see this car as being a flipper or money maker. But if your heart is set on a notch back Barracuda it may not be a bad deal. I would still bargain for a better deal, needs a lot of work. Also like was already said the front fenders in good condition will cost a pretty penny to replace. unless you go with fiberglass.

Regarding the front fenders, I'm really not sure what happened to them. I'll ask the guy though.
As for what I want the car for? I don't want to flip it at all. I've been looking for a notch for a long time, and every one I've looked at, I can't afford. I would like to grab this one, and even if it goes into storage for a while, while I finish the Dart, so be it. But at least I've got the car for when I'm ready.

Yes PettyBlu, I would be interested, thanks!

That car look do-able IMO but a lot of work. Shouldn't be too hard to find fenders for it. I have a set in my storage shed and so far do not need them. Front bumper and bracket too. Long ways away though in N. Alabama.

How much are 67 frnders worth anyways?

Give the seller an offer of 2k, buy it, sell the extra hood, buy some fenders, and drive it. Fix it at will!

I paid $2000 for my 67 notch back 17 years ago and it did not have an 8 3//4. It did have fenders and a 273 engine. I would say the car is worth it as long as the frame is good.

I paid $700 for a 67 notch parts car in Vancouver in 1992, and being a Canuck, I know the impossibility of finding a project that isn't rotted for a good buck. I'd say go for it. It appears solid, everything is there, and a nice set of 340-S inserts would probably get you at least one fender. Nice find.

I'd grab it up, thats a good deal!

AMD should be making '67-69 Barracuda fenders soon. I saw a pair sittin in their warehouse waiting to be made dyes of.

Wow,that's great news.I just checked their online catalog a couple days ago and did'nt see much 67-69 stuff and those are badly needed.

I looks like a good deal to me Mike.
(aahhheh, i said memike!)
If the frames are good, you made a good score.
Congrats on your new aquisition!
Tom.
