Great reaction time!
Nice 60 foot.
7.37 in the 1/8
gear's a little steep for my likin'
what kind of gas was used?
I’ve been saying for year it is possible to have a good 318, build what you have. But the majority everywhere love to chirp in and claim them a waste.Nice run! Since more of us should build 318s... encourage us with your 318 build specs and ballpark budget. I currently have a 318 with a lumpy cam that I want to get the most out of...
But aren't the bores too small to make power? Lol
you can't be talk'n the 302 FordThe main difference between the 302 and the 318 IIRC is the 302 heads flow like crazy in comparison, and it is a very efficient engine out of the box.
The below quote fixed that I’d say!The main difference between the 302 and the 318 IIRC is the 302 heads flow like crazy in comparison, and it is a very efficient engine out of the box.

Short stroke doesn’t Necessarily mean black toward. I love the engine masters 383 challenge with the Mopar 383 came in a lot stronger than the 383 Chevy.I don't see anything too impressive here except for the torque specs. Hard to believe a short rod /3" stroke 302 could make that much torque. View attachment 1715276353
I think that may be a mistake since the 273 needs a notch for the 1.88. How doesnan2.02 fit? LOL!There was a guy around here that ran a dart with a X head 273, ran high 10s in the 1/4 mile. Small engines can be fast
Yes sir!I've always loved the 318! I'll take them all. ;)

It ran pretty good. 10s in the 1/4. No idea how big his bore notch wasHummm, 2.02 + 1.60 = 3.62 in a 3.63 bore size.
And the 1.88 needs a notch.....
Hey! What ever! Let me know how it runs when you get there.
