To whom do i speak to on this board to warn others about this person.

Sent money. Didnt receive parts. Not responding to emails.

The trend lately has been
Members calling out the questionable bad seller on the open forum.
Admin cant really do anything, but making it known to all members may prevent it from happening again.
Tell your side, sellers name and see if he chimes in to explain the problem.
You arent the first, and wont be the last.

Enquiring minds want to know.................

yup, post up the for sale add, and the members name, so we know what were talking about AND so the seller has a chance to respond

also "send money, did not receive" is meaningless without a timeline and a location (i noticed your in canuckdia, that could slow shipping down)

Ok, fair enough, payed by Paypal on April 29th. so just in case its caught up somewhere I'll wait for a full month. So I will post his email and name on May 29th, which i feel is more then enough for a small part to have arrived. It was in a wanted add, i posted for a 68 barracuda steering column cover. thanks for your help and direction

3 weeks is a long time to go with no contact
from the 3 guys that posted in your want add, one had 80 positive feedbacks, thats who i would have gone with (but that doesnt mean someone didnt PM you without posting in the want add)

since you paid with paypal, you got some recourse...provided you didnt misrepresent the payment as a gift

Speaking of which, I got a message from a member of B bodies that just got his Pay Pal refund from a sale gone bad from a member we have had issues with lately. He did not use friends and family. DO NOT USE FRIENDS AND FAMILY UNLESS YOU KNOW THE SELLER!

FWIW......

We ship all over the world, and most international shipments are thru the post office

But as of lately, for whatever the reason may be.....we have been experiencing problems with postal shipments out-of-country....ESPECIALLY shipments to Canada.

All international postage from Washington state goes to an USPS International Distribution Center in San Francisco, and that's where the tracking history comes to a complete stop. We have no clue what the issue may be......but I could speculate all day long.....

It does lead to not-so-happy phone calls from our customers who are wondering where their orders are, but once our local mail carrier picks up the packages, it's out of our control.

Something in San Fran stinks....

I used to sell wooden door reinforcements for Triumph TR2 and TR3 roadsters.

Shipping to GB, Italy and France was a joke....non delivery, slow delivery and theft was the norm.

Amazing how UPS and FedEx could make ontime deliveries but the govt. run postal services could not and didn't care.

I quit selling to Europe.

You know how some bars will put a photo up of people that have written bad checks that say do not serve this person... Maybe that could be done here, Do Not deal with so and so they ripped other's off!

I've bought and sold crossing borders without issues for the most part. But the border crossing can throw a wrench into it. I have had members ask me after a week "wheres my part"? I usually tell them to hang tight and give it another week. I've had stuff take pretty close to a month to arrive either to me or to the buyer.
IMO the internet makes people think that things are instantaneous. Obviously not always the case.
Good luck Chryco, hope it pans out!
PS, buy piece u need from @RAT ROD AL

GET A Fricken Tracking Number. If the seller is going to SCREW you they are not going to even bother creating a shipping label, common sense. When you get the tracking number look it up and create a shipping status update email. Period.

If the tracking number is not valid or indicated not received by shipping company........You have been SCAMMED. Period.

Once you realize that you have been scammed(2-3 days at most) file a clam with Paypal, Credit card, Post Office, Money order what ever.period. Put a stop payment out there. Don't wait.Period.

This puts the seller on alert and you have a much better chance of getting either the part or your money back.Period.

I believe you will be having to deal with him outside of FABO........

ksdbru7878 has been banned. I tried to get him to honor his commitments to you guys and here is his response. My recommendation is to reach out to paypal and dispute the charges. Sorry folks... I did what I could.

Also, NEVER pay by friends and family, money order, cash, etc. unless your confident the other person is reputable.

If you suspect anything, tell the seller to put it on ebay with a buy it now fixed price and have them send you the link, buy it through Ebay and pay the 5% or whatever to have their protection. If he says "I dont do paypal or Ebay" ask him why not as you'd be paying the fees with the Ebay/paypal transfer. pennies on the dollar and better than nothing.

I'm pretty sure you can't get a tracking # until you actually ship something. I won't ship a part till it's paid for. If the condition of the part is questionable I send the buyer more detailed pics and or description before he pays. I try to be as honest as possible . One member was wanting a rusted fender I had listed for $50, He was up in NY ( IIRC) Was over $200 bucks to ship it. after a week or so I think I convinced him he could probably find one local cheaper and in better shape. I sell stuff I don't need to fund my projects and help others keep theirs moving along. Not to scam people. I give some stuff away free, Once you scrap these parts they are gone forever.

You said you paid with PayPal. How did you do it, Friends and Family or Gift? If you did, you are screwed. PayPal will not intervene. Are you talking about the small plastic piece that screws into the bottom of the dash and covers the bottom of the steering wheel column?

Not true on the shipping tracking# comment above.
A seller can generate a shipping label online. This provides an instant tracking # and will show "pending pickup or acceptance". The seller simply never prints the label or ships the item, and at some later date, files for a shipping refund with USPS (or other carrier) carrier will then refund the lable cost, if the tracking shows no activity/movement.
*Ive said it before in the rim blow thread, everyone that was scammed by this clown, and there are several on this ONE forum alone, needs to file a report with his local PD and the state attorney generals office...only thru a volume complaints, will anything be done about it at the law enforcement level.
