Of course he's pretending there's no back side, I guess.

That guy needs a kick to the dick.
The comments section has a load of positive posts....Obviously YouTube censors out the critics OR there really are some stupid dorks that approved of this hack's work.

I CANNOT believe he said it was a "Perfectly adequate repair". I have seen some HACKS in my life, but this really takes the cake. It is unbelievable that this BS was 1) posted at all; and 2) received positive comments.

This is also covered by a trim piece so you dont see it. So he only patched a rust hole.....Could you have at least sanded this mess?

One time, I took the slurry of concrete that was left in the wheel barrow after washing the tools and used it to fill in the rot on grandpa’s 93 chebbie bedside wheel wells. I should’ve video taped it to put it on the web someday. I could be rich!!

Wow! I’ve done some sketchy stuff in my misspent youth, but I can’t hold a candle to this kid! POR soaked fiberglass mat? Didn’t know POR was a suitable replacement for polyester resin!!!!

Well one thing for sure . That repair was a hell of a lot better then some of the bondo over newspaper I have see on cars that are sold on this and other sites.

We had a green 1970 340 4pd duster here on the lift. The large holes in frame rail repairs were done with masking tape with under coat over the tape and then they sprinkled dirt on the undercoat repair to hide it. A member on this site bought the car. The only way we saw it was on the lift we saw a very small piece of tape edge that didn't adhere.

I would rather have the repair shown above done on an old car quarter panel to pass state inspection then a gallon of water absorbing Bondo.

Did any of you try and remove a thick coat of POR15 from rusty metal. It is like powder coat until it starts peeling on its own. You cannot sand blast it off easily.

Not everyone is restoring a classic. Some people are just looking get a few more years out of a winter beater before it gets scrapped. In that context, I'm not seeing what he did as all that bad.

I have to agree with that in PA any hole in the car from rust it will not pass inspection.

If I still lived in Wisconsin, I'd probably have a chevy for my winter car and do the same thing if the laws there are the same.
