Just a skim and hand blocked second build coat and going to wet sand/block the whole fender next
I am glad I got it this far.

Looking forward to firing up the 360 so I move forward and install the headers with gaskets and tightened them down, bunch of under and over the car for this job thats for sure, sat down to relax and have a cold beer, then up and primming my carb on the bench and top it off with fuel and pressure it, no leaks and works good.
I look all around the headers checking all the clearance I have and it hit me :wtf::BangHead::BangHead: eather side of my 3 nut and bolts on my engine mount is not tight.. I shut the lights off in the shop and go in the house and shower..

@RustyRatRod ain't life grand my friend..
Can't say it was all waisted because now I am a pro at taking them off and putting these Hooker super comp fenderwell headers on now.. got them on.. carb may go on and plug wires this evening..
Mikie is sore bud :drama:.. life is better today :thankyou:

What kind of headers is that? I guess power steering is out of question!

Looks good, buddy! I think you're gonna like that small block in there. I know my 65 Hauled the mail. I honestly don't miss a V8 since I'm having so much fun with the slant 6.

I can sure appreciate that, i loved driving Victoria for 7 years, even as a daily driver. Victson.. is looking great, love the videos of you driving it.
Thank you my friend

Going to cut the valve covers to fit around my intake (Torkey 360) and not cut my 66 273 valve covers incase the Torker don't work out with my tall gears, hate to cut my 273 valve covers.

Why not mark your intake & use a die grinder to take away the material on the intake so your 273 covers will work.

Nice progress! I'm curious which intake you're using that's causing you to trim the valve covers?

Its been a fight , but these headers have been put on 3 times, no lift, just up on Jack stands.
After all the work and figuring, bolting them up, everything from the carberator to the rear axles are done.
Am I happy to see it this far, and I did it myself??
Yes sir, tighten the plugs in, throw wires on it, set the trimming on @halifaxhops distributor, and plug his new ecu up I received from him and give this great old LA 360 a drink.

Shoot..got to resize pictures...

There we go.
Not sure if these are still available for our early A bodies, but @66340SEDAN can testify how well they work on these 340 and 360 small blocks, he has been running his for nearly 15 years i believe

Oh ****, we have all done it, draining the oil and questionable additive .

Was draining it out before fire up and forgot to unscrew the drain pan plug in the pan, walked out for a few and had a mess to clean up

Cheers everyone.

Anyone ever use an Ajax bottle??
What for  ?

Not an Ajax bottle, but I've got a Dollar Tree 6 oz. or so squirt bottle that I use to prime gas with. Am I close? :)
Mike, when you get Victoria going....is the passenger side header gonna roast your blue ignition box? I melted the tape off of some wiring back in the day with the Hedman fenderwell headers on a 65 Barracuda. Just don't want you to melt all that goop out of the back side of that box. That stuff is just yellow tar!

That box and aluminum plate will not stay there. And yes, I use that bottle to fill the carb bowls and prime for fire up.

Just a heads up, the 360 is alive and happy :thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:
Going to get my utube account back up, have not used it in years .
Last night about 6pm I twisted the key and bingo!! I was so surprised and I must say she sounds great, and hitting on all 8 , had trouble getting to sleep last night, came out to the shop this morning and twisted the key and she fired right off.

Fuel line to run, put the holley on and set the timing, get the radiator on.

Life is good on the hill today :D
