Looks good Mike. Does that stove have a blower fan? If it does, I bet it keeps the shop pretty warm. You could put you up some concrete backer board on the wall behind it, and then tile over that to reflect even more heat. Ol pot belly stove sitting off to the right looks like he might have gotten fired, when the new guy showed up....lol. Stay warm up on the hill. :)
Yes, a restate adjustable fan, I am tickled with it .
I had to design a flew for it, it was an insert style, I had this 1/6th inch steal cap made for it and it works perfectly. It cost 100 dollars to have built.

Mikie happy, old pot belly is going to be stored, it can heat my home here if things get bad , its a great old stove .
Thank you

And in a pinch it looks like you have a nice cooktop too.
Yes I do , I have two #3 cast iron skillets that I flip eggs in, use them alot in the house, I prepared them 5 years or so ago with a D.A and sand paper..smooth no stick now.

Thank you Matt.

Those old Blaze Kings are great stoves.
good morning G.R :thankyou:

Looking good from my point of view, glad thats behind me. Tacked from the back, checked heat penitration looking at the front, liked it, I am using a harbor freight 125 volt no gas.. it took awhile to keep it set
Tack 2 inches apart, wire brush it then cool , tack beside each tack, wire brush it and pour me a crown over ice, tack four spots and repeat.
Save the grinding for another day .

Good job bud
Don't know about that but its there to stay, grind it and put a seam sealer on the back and sand everything down for etching primer and hang that fender for the last time.
I will shoot undercoat back on it.

Been there done that it's tedious for sure. Great job though it's satisfying not just buying new. I know on that car no new I don't think so something you gotta do.

New disk brakes, new hooker super comp headers, ahhh... new floor pans on the driver side front and rear..thats about it :thankyou:

Long as it don't come off, it's good. The grinder can do the rest. lol

It won't, I watched a few videos on this cheep wire welder and it took me 20 minutes to get the heat and wire speed where it should be, plenty of heat transfer to the out side as I tacked it with out blowing threw, I did about 7 tacks on the outside and picked my mess up, wish I had you with me last night, but it seems I got lucky Rusty

New big wood stove is easy to keep going for a three to 4 hour fun time. .
Well cuzz.. it's time to walk away and replan the next hit, I will have a mask on and take this fender outside and grind areas to be tack welded.. then seal the back side.. then....
We will see
For now ! Cheers from the hill, 7 o'clock bud light for me.. :thankyou:

Prepping under the fender for tack welding.
no air-re-al wire on this car, I have a delete plate and I am going to use it . Now to grind areas clean, undercoating is off , heat gun and scraper..

58 degree sunny day here on the hill.

Yesterday, no company so I put my old clothes on and did some tacking and grinding, then a thin coat of body filler.
Was great to mix a batch of filler and smell it again, it brought back many great memories with my brothers.

Nice work captain!
Thank you Chief, as soon as I get my in home chores completed I will get back on the fender and prepare for completion with it primed and cut in with color ( back and sides) i believe i have a small amount of base coat i printed the underside of the hood with then hang it back on, I am sure I have some details to clean up on the inner fender and front suspension while the fender is off.
Always good to see replies as they keep me moving forward :thankyou:
