Thanks this make me feel better. I knew the car had been wrecked but trunk lid is fairly straight. The latch lines up with the stricker. I guess I can carry on with metal replacement. Thans for the help

Problem is it lines up with the latch on the truck lid where it sits. Just not the center of the roll pan. I think frame rail must be bent. I guess I need to get underneath with a tape measure

Need a little help from y’all. Finally able to get back on 67 Barracuda project. I AM NOT A BODYMAN! The rear roll pan was damaged so got a repo pan. The trunk striker is way off center! Trunk lid lines up and latch lines up. Something sure ain’t right. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would say your going to hammer and dolly the wrinkles. Sand paint off. Little plastic filler and re shoot the quarter.

Is the paint chipped or just wrinkled sheet metal? Hard to tell from pics.

I would clamp it heat it up and quench it with wet rag and try to shrink the metal to take the bow out.

Looks like it didn't seat well on window frame. Maybe take a short wood block and hammer and tap it up and seat it.

I hope you realize this is not a bolt on item. There is a lot of spot welds holding it on.

I sure would not remove what you have to replace with US Tool. If what you have were installed right I don't see the advantage. IMO

I think he wanted to know if 69 would fit 67 and vice versa. I am not sure if they will interchange.

I had to replace mine because it had crash damage from PO. I will try to get pics tomorrow with measurements.

AMD makes a new valance with dual cut outs. I can tell you there is a lot of spot welds and a pain in the *** to remove. I removed my original but have not put on replacement as the trunk drops and lower quarters need replaced. The fit of new part is good just needs a little massaging.

I am putting a 68 panel on my 67 also with cutouts. I think I am going to smooth mine. What are your plans for backup lights?

You do know you have to change to a 68 gasket.

You really need a jig to get it square and lined up before you start hanging sheet metal. You should be able to find help here with measurement points on uni body. If not right you never will get straight. I would stick with this body and not re body as that just hurts the hobby.

If you can get to the back side you can back it up with a copper plate. The weld won't stick to the copper and it works as a heat sink.
