The shifter is a hurst pistol grip and I love it. It has a pretty short throw between gears and I love it. As you can see from the pics, I have a bench seat in front. So When I'm in 2nd and 4th, the shifter is only an inch from the seat. But I'm 5'11'' and have no problem reaching the pedals.

I'm having the same problem on my 68 Cuda. I had everything in, but when I went to install my old pitman arm, the splines were to big.(dia) So I ordered an arm for a manual steering setup and the bolt on the end that fits to the center link was upside down. What did you end up doing to fix yours?

My 68 Cuda has a 318 .030 over, with a 4-speed, 3.23 gears and suregrip. At the track I'm averaging about 15.85 1/4 mile. 60 feet times are 2.35. Any idea what gears I could put in to get my times down to high 14s? I know this is a silly question, but I wanted some input from you all.

My 60' times averaged 2.401 through 4 passes. I got only a tiny bit of tire spin on 2 of my passes. My best 60' was 2.289 and the worst was 2.532.
