Master Cylinder Studs Size And Thread Count?

‘69 Dart Hard Top, manual drum brakes. Looking for the size and thread count for the 4 studs used to mount the master cylinder to the firewall. Mine are in place but have been painted over and the threads need chasing. Couldn't find anything in the service manual. I’ve tried a couple of...

California DMV ripped me out of my parts.

Out here in western Riverside County, code enforcement has been on a terror. I have buddies who are being written up for disabled vehicles on their properties, several of my neighbors and I were written up for motorhome storage and covers (we formed a group, fought, and won, sort of), the state...

California DMV ripped me out of my parts.

Something else is going on here. You don’t need a license to dismantle a vehicle, but...you need the title to be in your name, the plates, and all DMV fees up to date and paid. As for selling the parts, that’s a whole other story, seller’s permit, maybe a business license, and whatever else...

Albums you haven't heard in a while....

I used to “borrow” my brother’s reel to reel, it was a Teac. He had several Ampex reels of tape. He also had store bought music on tape: Steppenwolf, Beatles, Joplin, Doors, Arthur Brown. The Beatles so called white album was not white in reel to reel format, it was brown, black, and white...

    swapping k-frame

I used pieces of square tubing bolted to the dollies I had used to support the body. Everything was bolted together and then strapped for safety reasons. Although I used an engine hoist I think a gantry would probably be even better and safer. I just made sure I stayed as far away from the...

    oil filter help

3-1/2" deep Wix filter on a 360 with TTI's on my '69 Dart. I can get my left hand on the filter with ease but I can barely grip the filter with my right hand. I use the socket style filter wrench to loosen it. Definetly not a lot of room and I've found out how "durable" the TTI ceramic coating...

    FABO Age range?

55 years, 8 months and a couple of weeks. Speaking of age, one of my favorite things to do is to talk to the older folks I meet and ask them what cars they have owened. Their stories are incredible!

Any tricks to get a broken glove box lock open?

if you have the key to the lock you can "bump" the key with a ball peen hammer a few times to pretty much destroy the tumblers and hopefully get it to open. Or use a key that fits and bump that key a few times. If bumping gets it open the latch should still turn but won't lock. Any key that...

    1969 Dodge Dart-Forrest

Somemore slow progress. Body and paint are done. Metallic Silver, two stage paint. Body and frame are sitting in the garage on blocks with casters. Rear end is almost done: 8-3/4 with 3:55 sure grip. Tranny being finished up: 904 with full manual, reverse pattern valve body and all the...

    Tips for engine removal

Rear up on ramps. Disconnect and unbolt everything. Up and out, nice and easy. I used a floor jack to support the tranny until the motor and tranny were clear of the engine bay.

Can anyone ID the transmission in the pictures? This is a 360 out of a '77 Cordoba. I was told it was a 727 but the tranny shop is calling it a TF-6. What is a TF-6? Thanks, Forrest

    The Mannix Car

So my wife is at the gas station filling up her car and this guy pulls up in a Dart. Since I'm in the middle of restoring a '69 Dart my wife takes a picture of this guy's Dart with her cell phone. She talks to the guy for a little bit and he says that it's the car from the TV show Mannix! This...
