when ya take out windsheild and fix the rust it may be worth doing this. no more blocked up drain holes. crap always gets stuck in small original hole, gets wet and sits there creating rust.:banghead:

nah mate bit o engineers chalk stick. just gota be careful when 1st start to rap the tape it dont slip and make sure it start in groove.

i would suggest practicing on some heavier steel 1st and get some good runs going ,old angle or box section . then you can hear and see when it welding good and your not going to blow holes. maybe easier to get a feel for it. then adjust your speed and heat settings down to suit thinner stuff...

thank you fishy68. had a chat to a local trans store today and they said they could send convertor i have away to be rebuilt and refitted with correct splines for 904 for $250 to $300. then tryed to tell me you CANT put a 727 behind a 318. ( have 1 thats blown ) sure he wrong as blocks the same...

ok reading thru other threads here have found that TC is up there with cam choice. So gona go check out some local auto tran shops and talk to some people . i think trans is non lock up. could anyone confirm that from numbers. thanks.
