    Well... THAT didn't work....

    Have had a leak when it rains, coming in from under dash... got a seal kit for windshield wiper posts... tore car apart to get at wiper transmission and posts... definitely needed doing... replaced all seals and grommets per instructions... was super happy, until it rained yesterday and now...

    This may sound like a dumb one, but the car isn't here right now... 1976 Valiant 2dr HT... what size is the FACTORY openning for rear package shelf speakers? Looking at speakers later this afternoon, hoping to have an idea of the size before hand ... thx, everyone!!!!! :violent1:

    Yeah, I got to the passenger side through the glove box.. hose is pretty crusty..thanks! I will attempt again tomorrow..need to get it done by next Saturday.. I WILL drive it on my birthday!! ~ Teresa :)

    Thanks, just afraid I'm going to break something, shouldn't have to reef on it...right? Just need to get to the defrost vent on that side to replace it, and inspect the wiring to the gauges...just trying to remove the instrument cluster..

    Howdy! Am needing to do some work under the dash: replacing the wiper grommets/post gaskets, defrost vents, and dash cap... I've removed the trim plate under column, and the two bolts holding column to dash, but it will not drop... i simply want to remove cluster to gain access to the above...

    Thank you, sir! After we get her on the road, we'll start fine-tuning... get rid of the shackles, find a good pair of leaf springs, front sway bar, etc... She wants to paint it this summer, possibly Candy Brandywine... we'll see!

    Car in question is a 1976 Plymouth Valiant Brougham 2dr HT V8 904... found broadcast sheet under rear seat... line 4 under "Axle" says "249"... I know the car has an 8 1/4 axle, is non-suregrip... wondering what the axle ratio is... according to Valiant.org, 2:45 was the standard ratio for '76...
