    360 magnum flexplate?

THIS is a flexplate from a 98 5.9 magnum (First picture). The 360 LA flexplate is weighted differently. A 5.2 is not weighted (second picture).

Magnum EFI Return or Returnless? & Vacuum Regulator Question

If you are using a Tanks, Inc fuel tank with an in tank pump, why would you even want a regulator? The fuel pressure regulator and pressure relief (return) is performed inside the tank. Didn't you specify your required fuel pressure to Tanks, Inc when you had them install the pump?

Looking to Purchase a 5.9...a few questions

If you plan on using the factory fuel injection the 96 up has OBD2 format for the PCM (more tunable). Get the engine harness as well as the PDC (fuse panel). Also get the flexplate if it's automatic, flywheel if it's manual. Most likely automatic if from a van. The flexplate is weighted and...

    1991 5.2 in 65 Dart 4spd.

I'm using magnum manifolds in my 68 Barracuda. Passenger side is no problem. The driver's side is a PITA. Mine has manual steering. I shimmed the motor mount 3/16" up, shortened the steering column housing (not absolutely necessary) and used an aftermarket steering coupler from ebay. I have a...

Justin Figgatt...Actual Investigation is Underway by Police...Need Victims Info

He apparently didn't think it was funny when I posted a copy of this thread on four facebook pages that he was trying to sell a 64 Belvedere. He deleted those posts. Geez, I hate a damned thief!

    Magnum roller lifters

Pushrods are all the same, rockers are the same. I replaced the old lifters with used lifters that have about 60k miles on them.

    Magnum roller lifters

Well, even fully pumped up shouldn't the valve close? The other lifters in this engine will compress about 1/8" when you push down on the rocker arms. I have two other sets of lifters and when I put any of those in they also will keep the valve open. I have checked the rocker arm and push rod. I...

    Magnum roller lifters

I'm confused. I have a 98 5.9 magnum that I was doing a leakdown test on before dropping into a 71 Dart. The biggest problem was that I had 100% leakage on number one cylinder. Took the head off and had carbon under the valve seat so I cleaned the cylinders, lapped the valves and put the heads...

    Unknown transmission

From some research it seems it may be a 727 with lockup converter that came in 95 B2500 vans. I went out to the driveway and looked to verify that it is a 95 engine. Looks just like a 727 because it has no overdrive. The designation from the research is a 36RH. I looked at the numbers on the...

    Unknown transmission

I'll have to look tomorrow. The man that sold it thought it was a 97 cargo van, but the PCM is OBD1. They changed to OBDII in January of 96. What are the two possible types of transmission post-92 and pre-96? It definitely came out of a van, indicated by the really long oil and trans filler tubes.

    Unknown transmission

I need for someone to tell me what I bought. I needed a transmission for my 71 Dart total roller. This one came up and I bought it thinking I can install it until I can find the parts for a 5 speed manual conversion. I don't know what I bought! LOL The transmission is coupled to a 5.2 magnum...

Saginaw PS pump on a 68 Barracuda

A friend is having some problems on his 68 Barracuda with the power steering pump. Apparently the car didn't have the pump on it when he bought it. Since then he purchased a Saginaw pump but the brackets are not correct. I have a Saginaw pump and brackets that came off of a 74 Dart with a 318...

    Fan motor studs?

Thanks, I'll look through the boxes and boxes of parts tomorrow to see if anything looks appropriate. LOL Like a jigsaw puzzle....

    Fan motor studs?

I'm refurbishing an A/C equipped heater box on a 71 Dart. Are there supposed to be studs that screw into the fan plenum and extend through the firewall? This car was a basket case and the only thing holding the fan motor in was the squirrel cage fan. Any pictures would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Rear Center Brake Line Hardware

I have this picture of the detail on my 68 B'cuda, but the L bracket for attaching the rubber brake line is integral to the body. Looks like the 71 is a bolt on bracket. I would think that the 69 is probably closer to the 68 Barracuda.

    Rear Center Brake Line Hardware

Great, that handles the e-brake cable. I have the equalizer and front e-brake cable. Now, just need the brake line details. Thanks krazycuda.

    Rear Center Brake Line Hardware

I have a 71 Dart that I bought as a basket case. I need to know how the rear center brake line attaches to the body. Also need to know how the e-brake cable is mounted through there. Here is what I'm working with. Anybody have any pictures? Thanks

    Prothane Strut Rod Bushings

I was aware that these are different rods, the other old style is still on the car. I may just use the newer rods and fit things up to see how everything goes. Thank you for the response.

    Prothane Strut Rod Bushings

Just came across this thread at the bottom of this post. Now I'm even more confused. I just finished rebuilding a 73 Scamp with the newer style strut rods. I used a PST kit that the car owner had ordered. The kit had the one piece bushing so I called PST. They told me that the one piece was the...

"The polyurethane bushings don't work with the earlier strut rods. " I believe you, but I don't understand why these are sold as "A-BODY 66-76". Written right on the box.

    Prothane Strut Rod Bushings

Anybody ever use the 4-1202-BL strut rod bushings from Prothane? My old bushings, that I believe to be Moog, are 3/4" thick. With the washer, 1" thick. The prothane bushing without a washer is 1-1/16" thick. The metal sleeve is 1-13/16". Are you supposed to use them without the washers? I...
