    Window sweeps/felts for '65 wagon?

Anyone have a good source for these? My driver's window is getting a bit rattly, and I'd like to replace the felts on that door. Thanks if anyone's bought a set and tried them out. A

[FOR SALE] Four 13" SBP Wheels - Free to good home!

As the title says, I have four SBP wheels I have no use for. I'm located in Bay City, MI, so if anyone wants them, come pick them up for free! I'd rather not scrap parts that someone could use, which is why I'm posting them here.

    1965 Steering Coupler Diagram?

After messing around with my steering coupler, I realized that I have a type of "shoe" that is a little different from the ones I've found online. I also haven't found a diagram in the shop manual. Here's a picture of what I have - does anyone have a diagram showing the orientation of the...

[WANTED] Steering Coupler Spring for '65 Dart

I just bought a steering coupler rebuild kit for an '80s Dodge truck for my '65 Dart after doing a little internet research. My coupler did not have a spring in it, which is probably why it was so loose (but not that bad, surprisingly). I had to clock the spring from the rebuild kit in a...

    1965 Dart Horn Emblem O-Ring?

More horn questions today... It looks like the center horn "emblem" that fits into the horn ring is held snug by an o-ring (according to the manual). The one on mine isn't big enough to hold the piece snug, and I think a prior owner just glued it in. Anyone try something off the plumbing...

General weatherstrip for Dart wagon tailgate?

My '65 Dart wagon's tailgate weatherstripping (where the gate itself meets the body) is pretty much nonexistent. Has anyone tried a universal weatherstrip that might work on something like this?

Broken '65 Dart Wagon Tailgate Torsion Rod

Hey everyone, My title pretty much says it all...it's not a big deal, but has anyone repaired one of these? It's probably not worth my finding a used one and shipping it, but mine has snapped off at the far end, right before where it anchors in the tailgate. Could I MIG weld it back together...

[FOR SALE] 4 SBP 13" Wheels and 1 SBP 14" Wheel

Ever since I switched over to 15" wheels on my '65 Dart, these have been in my basement. I'd like to save them from scrappers, but I know they're not exactly a hot commodity. I'm asking $20 for all five. I'm in Bay City, MI, pickup only. Thanks!

    Hood to frame adhesive/epoxy?

The glue or whatever it was holding the hood frame to the hood panel of my '65 Dart has come unglued. Does anybody have a favorite method of rejoining the two pieces? I've heard that panel bonding adhesive does a good job. Anything else?

    '65 Dart Bumper Bolt?

Weird question...I need a single front bumper bolt and nut for my '65 Dart. Anyone know where I can buy just one? Thanks!

    1965 Dart Charging System Question

Hello everyone, I've been fixing what isn't really broken today, and I have a few questions, just for the sake of my own education. I replaced a worn ignition switch, and I took a few voltage readings at various places. Here is what I found: Key on, engine off: Battery: 11.8V (this ranged up...

    [WANTED] 1965 A-Body Z-Bar for a Slant

Hey everyone, My title explains it all...I'm not sure (and my car's out in storage), but I'm pretty sure my '65 Dart has a later clutch z-bar. If there's a good one out there that will fit, I'm interested (as long as the price is reasonable). If not, I'll probably try a torch and a cheater...

Slant Six Clutch Rod Return Spring?

Does anyone have a part number for or a place to buy this return spring? It's the one that goes between the tab on the bellhousing and the clutch fork itself...It seems like the ones I can find online are for small-blocks, and I'm not sure if they're the same. I just cut a generic spring, but...

'65 Dart Slant Six Clutch Linkage picture?

Could anyone post a picture from the driver's side engine compartment of the clutch linkage on your '65 slant six? Mine is definitely a hodgepodge of parts (hodgedodge?), and I just want to see what's wrong. I have it working OK, but it's not perfect because I had to reshape the actuating...

Where to find '65 Dart Heater door servo?

I have my heater box out to reseal it and check everything out. This was an original AC car, but all the air stuff is gone now except for the evaporator box. I'm checking all the vacuum servos out right now, and the one right above the passenger fresh air door that opens and closes the fresh...

'65 Dart wiring diagram for air conditioned car?

I'm doing some troubleshooting right now and I've run into a roadblock... My air conditioned '65 Dart has an intermittently working heater fan. I have the dash partially torn apart, and have determined that I have no power going to the fan switch. I DO have power at the vacuum switch that...

Ball and trunnion to u-joint conversion?

Well, 4 years after having my ball and trunnion boot replaced, it let go in spectacular fashion on the freeway; it sounded like a blown tire was hitting the bottom of the car. So, I guess the reproduction boots aren't much good, so I'm probably going to convert to a u-joint. I think I've seen...

[Found!] 1965 Dart Driver's Side Air Vent "Clamp"

My vent's being held in by one of the clamps, and it looks like it should have two. Kind of an obscure part, I know, but there must be two for a reason, and I have a bunch of air leaks under the dash. Thanks!

    Heater Cores

Are heater cores the same between AC and non-AC cars? In another thread, I found out that one of our sponsors sells a heater seal kit for my originally AC-equipped '65, so I'd be inclined to replace the heater core while it's apart. It appears that the normal outlets only sell one variety...

    Heater Box, AC/Non-AC

My '65 wagon originally came with air conditioning, but all those parts have been removed except for the heater/AC box. I drive the car when it's cool outside (usually 30* and above) and it has pretty weak heat (thermostat is fine). I've read that the firewall between the air and non-air cars...

    Check your bushings!

I just did my LCA and UCA bushings on the junkyard Dart, and these were all that was left of the LCA bushings. I can't believe it didn't clunk or make any strange suspension noises. It drives a ton better now, and with my offset UCA bushings, I can run about 2.5* positive caster. No wonder my...

Problem Solver UCA Bushings or Not?

One of my summer projects is to replace all the front suspension bushings on my '65 Dart. It has no power steering, stock drums, a 225, and I don't drive it enthusiastically. I just cruise around in it. With that being said, should I install the UCA bushings for the extra positive caster, or...

Oil pressure drop under hard braking

This is a weird one... My Dart's engine is a '74 225 with the original 170's pan and pickup. When I installed that pan, I modified the dipstick tube of the new engine to make sense with my new pan, and whenever I change the oil, it's spot on the full mark. When I have to stop quickly, my...

    '65 Dart Front Bushing Project

One of the summer car projects I have planned is to replace the LCA/UCA and strut rod bushings in my '65 Dart. I've already replaced all ball joints and the idler arm. I like to plan ahead for any tools I'll need, so I'm fishing for advice. I have a cheapo Harbor Freight 12-ton press, but...

    New non-Mopar for me--'74 Firebird

Just thought I'd show off my new Firebird Esprit to anyone here who isn't too brand loyal. It's a 350 Pontiac 2-barrel car with a TH350. It needs a bit of paint touch up, new tires (obviously, when was the last time you saw Polyglas GTs?), and some brake work. It's just been sitting for a...

My vent window won't stay open...

I've got to get into my doors to lube the locks and window tracks, and I might as well fix the vent. The driver's one won't stay open; is there a spring inside that performs that job? I've never torn the door apart on one of these.

    3.23 R/P for a 7 1/4?

I've driven my Dart over 3000 miles in two years, and the rear end has always whined on the drive side. It sounds like it's picking up a rhythmic howl/noise now at certain speeds, and it's probably only a matter of time before I'll have to do something about it. I replaced the axle seals...

[SOLD] Virtually new Holley 390 baseplate

I and my 289 Mustang seem to be averse to Holley 4160-style carbs, so I'll be selling this Holley 390 (8007) baseplate that has seen probably 20 minutes of run time. It's not for sale on their website; I had to wait about 6 weeks from Holley to get it. $90 shipped anywhere in the...

    225 Dart chugging past 70...

My Dart has been running great, so my wife and I hit the road and drove 150 miles yesterday, and on the way home, as soon as I past 70 mph, it started chugging and losing power. As soon as I slowed down to 65-70, it ran fine. Later on, after it had cooled off, we took it out on the freeway...
