    Accessory Power

Thats what I thought but with the ign switch in the accy position I have no voltage on them. Of course the sw may be bad but I wanted to make sure there is only one hot feed to the ignition switch.

    Accessory Power

Just about finished re-wiring the Dart with the EZ Wire kit but am having an issue with powering accessories when the key is in the accessory position. Does anyone know what pins on the column plugs should be accessory power and if there should be more than one constant power feed to the...

    73 Dart Engine Wiring Harness

Yah, this is going to take some time checking everything. It dosn't look like it was from the bulkhead connector, the worst affected part of the harness is right behind the distributor. Until I get the old harness out I wont be able to tell for sure what happened. Note to self, don't let son...

    73 Dart Engine Wiring Harness

Well, things went real bad. My son was driving the Dart and there was an engine fire. It appears there was some sort of short in the harness on the firewall and the harness itself is a complete loss. Does anyone know of a source of new replacement engine harness? I was looking at a harness...

Wanted 73 Dart passanger seat belt retracter assembly

Anyone have a passenger side seat belt in black. The only piece I am missing is the retractor assembly. The drivers side is a 3 piece, retractor and shoulder belts clips together (I think this is standard)?? So I would like to get just the retractor piece for the passenger side but if someone...

    1972 Dodge Dart Timing Specs

So this begs the question, how do you tell if it's the correct ported vacuum? Or are all the vacuum outlets on the manifold either "correct" ported or full? Question comes about cause of problems getting the vacuum advance on the dist working correctly after swapping over to elec dist.

    Wanted A Demon/or Dart Sport

Depends on what you consider "cheap". I just don't think I have the energy to do much more on my 73 Swinger but I can't just let it go for nothing..

    Water Leak in Cowling??

I know exactly what you mean, am thinking about cutting out the slotted part of the cowel, welding a frame around the opening and putting in a removable mesh so I can easily clean out any debris.

    Water Leak in Cowling??

65s, Thanks for the pic's, at least I have a much better idea where I need to go with this. Looks like a real PITA but better than wet feet and ruined carpets and floor pans.

    Water Leak in Cowling??

Not meaning to hijack the thread but.. I have the same water issue and have replaced the pivot seals and verified the seal of the windscreen and still getting my feet wet. Only place I can think of that water can still be coming in from would be due to rot around the "top hat" in the cowel...

Which seats fit a 73 Swinger?

Seeing as the price for original bucket seats are so high, I was wondering if anyone has performed any research on modern seats that will fit a 73 Swinger? The local wrecker yards are full of later cars with good interiors but I thought it worth asking before I spend lots of time measuring...

    Intake for Quadrajet

Larry408, Thanks for the offer, I will keep it in mind. I think I have someone local that has one for $50 that I can just pick up so it will save me on shipping but if that falls through I will get back to you.

    1973 Dart Swinger

Thanks for the responses. The stripes are on their way out, am in the process of finishing touch ups to the body and will have the complete car in black primer as soon as I have some more free time. I may as well just go ahead and replace the trunk pan as it seems not many people are comfortable...

    Intake for Quadrajet

Just aquired a Quadrajet (free) that needs to be rebuilt and re-jetted, can anyone suggest which intake would be best and appropiate jetting? Am interested in possibly using a stock cast iron intake. It's for a stock 318 and the carb came off a 71 Olds 442 so I am wondering if the bolt pattern...

    1973 Dart Swinger

No one interested? Well open to some feedback here. Am I expecting too much with all the work already done or are unmolested Dart Swingers just not very desirable? I would like some feedback (please dont be too sarcastic) but I can take it..

    Rusted trunk.

Creativity is the key to most low budget build up's. I'm not sure a wheel well is needed, I think there will be plenty of room for a spare or 2, jack etc and of course, all anchered for safety. But I will keep it in mind. Thanks for your thoughts on the subject.

    Rusted trunk.

Thanks for the pics, looks nice and clean. Any idea if the trunk pan is structual? Before cutting anything out I would like to make sure nothing gets twisted/deformed so should I support anything to prevent any alignment issues? Steve..

    Rusted trunk.

Looking for some feedback and suggestions. My 73 Dart has a badly rusted trunk pan and extenstions, the obvious solution is to replace everything with new sheet metal but that comes with a premium price so I am thinking that another way to go would be to cut everything out and replace with...

    heater hose routing??

This might sounds a little off but, my 73 Dart has differant size outlets on the heater dore, differant size heater hoses and the outlet on the intake is a differant size to the water pump outlet so its very difficult to get the hoses on incorrectly. Is this not the case on all year Mopars...

    Is my engine dead?

I had very simular problems with my Dart 318 and it was indeed the timing chain. The factory timing gears were aluminum with a hard plastic coating on the gear tips and over time the plastic breaks up and causes the chain to slip. I pulled the heads to check for valve/piston damage and there...

    Factory fuse block replacement

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will go with DusterB318's NAPA replacement scenerio as I am not too concerned about keeping original and it provides for additional circuits. Thanks daredevil for the offer, much appreciated and a confirmation that Mopar guys are the most friendly out...

    Factory fuse block replacement

Anyone know of a source for a new fuse block (or viable replacement) for a 73 V8 Dart? The original one has some melted fuse holders which were bypassed by previous owner and I wanted to get it back to a safe condition. I have been searching local wrecker yards but no luck on a good "genuine"...

How to price a Dart for sale.

After owning my 1973 swinger for 3 years and enjoying performing all the work myself, I find I do not have enough free time to do anymore work on it so I think rather than letting it sit undriven, its best to sell it so someone else who can enjoy finishing it and driving it. Vacuem advance question.

Hi all, hope someone can help me out with a "basic" issue. I have a 73 Dart, 318 2bbl which never had the vacuem advance connected to the distributor so, where do I connect the vacuem line to? There is a port on the side of the carburator about mid way up on the passanger side, do I connect...
