    Mixed emotions

It will be a difficult week. I have not been making progress on my Duster and the storage costs are killing me. $100 a month. So I put the cars up for sale. It looks like I have a deal that will send my Dusters and all the parts I have accumulated including my side draft intake manifold...

    Feather duster clone

After a few years it looks liek I am going to start moving forward with my Duster. The 76 feather duster in my avatar is just a little too far gone to fix. I found a nice 74 that just needs a couple of patches in the trunk and a new floor pan and it is ready for paint. I will post up some...

    2 New vehicles

Well I wasn't going to buy one when we went looking Saturday but it was a good deal. Plus I can use it to tow home my new parts car I found on CL. Now it is time for some off roading and to start work on my duster.

    Chevy Guys

Last night I am at my neighborhood bar. My wife has talked to the bar owner about my Duster. He has told her there is a guy that comes in regularly that restores cars and I should talk to him about the body work. He comes in while we are there so my wife asks him about it. His response is...

He said she said about classic cars on Yahoo

Did anyone else see this article. The Hemi Cuda made the list with the below listing. He said: These million-dollar muscle cars are among the rarest artifacts of Detroit’s glory days, with only a handful of the legendary 426-cubic-inch Hemi engines installed in convertibles. Good for 425...

    Door lock knobs

The knobs on by duster don't look good and one is stripped. I have a 76 and everything I have found online says they are for 69-74 a bodies. Is there a difference or is this just one of those things. I know they aren't expensive but I did not want to waste money if I don't need to.

    Constant depression Carb

After a long wait I think I may have finally found a side draft manifold. I have been intrigued by the possibility of putting a variable venturi carb on my Duster for quite some time. I have finally found someone selling a side draft manifold from an old cortez coach. Has anyone on here ever...

    An Old cornet

This is parked at a junk yard in Beaver Dam WI. about 30 miles north of Madison. I figured someone might have an interest in it since it seems to be in decent shape. The seats are trashed but a lot of the sheet metal looks to be in good shape. The phone # to contact them is in one of the photos.

    Slipping under power

My A833 4 speed the clutch slips when it is under power. Under hard acceleration(don't do this often) or when going uphill in a high gear. It won't be long before I am taking the car apart but in the mean time is it possible it is out of adjustment or is the clutch failing. If it is just...

    Terrible to know

I was checking out one of those slideshows on Yahoo. Famous cars. Maybe I am woefully uninformed but I just found out the 1970 charger they will use in the new fast and furious movie has a chevy 350 in it. That just seems wrong.

    Wish me luck

For the first time I am taking a big risk. An opportunity has presented itself and I am going to be providing some start up capital. I am buying a bar. Right now it is Boes Ridgeway on Hwy 76 in the the town of Clayton. Just west of Neenah WI. It is 6,500 sq ft with a 600 sq ft stage. We...

converting from half vinyl to no vinyl

I am considering removing my vinyl roof completely and going without it when I get the body work done. I am wondering what problems I may encounter. I know there are clips to hold the trim on and I would assume removing those will leave holes. Is that the only issue I should expect other...

    Valiant/Duster Fenders

These fenders need some minor repair. I can cut into patch panels if that would work better for shipping. There are 4 of them. I have attached pics of the fenders including close ups of rough spots. I am looking to get $30 to $50 each plus shipping depending on the fender. I am located in...

    New Cherokee

I just read some good news. A glowing review of the new Grand Cherokee. It raved about it calling it nearly flawless and clearly the best in it's class by far. Maybe not all is lost. http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2010/06/23/jeep-grand-cherokee/?test=faces

    Floor pans

I will be needing new floor pans. I would like to replace them with the half floor pans from AMD. AMD say they are for 1970-1974 Dusters. I have a 76 but I can't find anything that says the there were any changes to the Duster that would mean different floor pans. I do confess ignorance on...

    Mopar's new direction

Just saw a teaser shot of the new charger. Looks good. http://www.foxnews.com/slideshow/leisure/auto/2009/11/04/chryslers-new-lineup The next photo is the new cluster of the next charger. I was raised on Mopar and while cautious I am optimistic about the new direction. It is amazing...

    Baseball

If you are a baseball fan you should have watched the Twins game last night. Best game of any sport I have ever seen in person or on TV. I drove 5 hours to see it and didn't get home till 3:30. I'm running on 2 hours sleep but it was the most exciting game I have ever watched. There were so...

http://appleton.craigslist.org/cto/856194968.html It is a 74 Scamp /6 auto and he swears it is only 29K miles on it. He says he bought from a co-worker who inherited from his mother. Seems to look nice. The location is about 75 northwest of Milwaukee.

    Dash Pad

I have found a nice dash pad for my Duster but it is the wrong color. I have seen people talking about dyeing the dash pad. How is this done? Can it be done to an OEM dash pad? If not I will pull it and offer it for sale.

    Water in the glove box

When it rains my glove box fills with water. Not a litle bit of water, fills. I pulled the glove box and there is a hole in the cowl. I can post a pic later but this is a drilled hole about 1/4" in diameter through to the cowl. Should this be there? There doesn't apear to be any rust...

    Floor pan interchangeable?

I just picked up a 76 Feather Duster. The floor pans in front are in bad shape. On a trip to the local yard I found a 76 Dart 4 door That for the life of me I can't figure out why it is there. I think it really only has the 37K miles on the odometer. The interior is perfect (tan if that is...

    New around these parts

I finally found my Duster. I just bought and it looks like I may have paid more than I should have for a Feather Duster. In the end I don't particularly care. To find a cheap one would have required travel which raises the cost. My goal is to bring this back to a good "original looking"...
