    A body Front speaker location?

Mike P, as the other Mike suggested, I sent you a message to take this outside.

    A body Front speaker location?

Dang, guys! I really appreciate the positive comments on my speaker brackets. I would never have guessed eleven or twelve years ago, when I made the first one for my son's '74 Dart Sport, that they would have been so popular and sought after. It was a simple solution to a common problem that...

    A body Front speaker location?

Howdy, Scott! Yes, I got your information and sent you a payment request. I don't come here to the forum much, so I guess it's time I cleaned out the messages. Thanks for the heads-up.

Everything got squared away with PayPal and I shipped your package out last Friday. Please let me know when you receive it and what you think about the bracket. Thanks much, Jerry

    A body Front speaker location?

Nathan, I got your information, but for some reason, after being a member of PayPal for 18 years, they just "limited" my account's activity until I "resolve" something with them. I'll let you know if that's going to become a problem for me to obtain payment through them. If so, we'll go...

    A body Front speaker location?

Bill, believe it or not, that was more like four years ago in 2016 when you got one of my brackets. Time sure does fly by when you're old like the two of us! A solution to rattling that I have employed is to use thin slices of rubber tubing, fuel line, vacuum line, etc. to isolate metal to...

    A body Front speaker location?

Sure, Tim, it's easy. Fortunately, the link to my order form is conveniently in my August 12, 2019 post just above yours. Click on that link and provide me with all of the pertinent data. I'll get back to you when I receive that information. Let me know if you have any other questions...

    A body Front speaker location?

My apologies. I just now emptied out the inbox. Since my son took our project car to Houston with him, I'm Mopar-less and don't spend much time in the forums anymore. Guess I should pop in every once in awhile to see what's going on. To answer your question, yes, I keep a few of the speaker...

    My in-dash speaker solution

Glad to hear from you again! Thanks for the heads-up about the in-box. Since my son took our father/son project Dart Sport back home with him to Houston last year, I don't spend much time here on the site. I still keep a few speaker brackets on hand, so if you would like to order one, please...

    Legendary seat cover won't fit

Anyone else have trouble installing a fixed rear seat back cover from Legendary for a 1974 Dart Sport? The seat bottom fits like a glove, but the back cover is off quite a bit. I tend to suspect that the cover I received was for a fold-down seat back, not fixed. If you have photos of the...

    Under my rubber mat??

You've seen (and probably popped) packing material called bubble wrap. This stuff looks a lot like bubble wrap, but both surfaces are aluminum foil. It comes in a roll either 12" or 24" wide.

    Under my rubber mat??

Take a look at some of the insulation wrap material found at Lowe's or Home Depot. It looks like bubble wrap sandwiched between foil on each side. Provides both sound and heat insulation, and it's very reasonably priced. It comes in various widths and cuts easily with scissors.

For those of you who are not afraid to cut your dash ...

If you haven't cut the dash yet, take a look at the "Secret Audio" systems. Here's just ONE PLACE you can learn about them. Oh, by the way, I sell aluminum brackets that allow you to replace that old deteriorated single dash speaker with two modern 3.5" or 4" two-way speakers. Just sayin'...

When were the football-shaped speakers introduced in B-bodies?

That's what I mean... those football-shaped speakers are accessed by removing some screws on top of the dash and taking off a removable grille.

When were the football-shaped speakers introduced in B-bodies?

I know some of you probably have (or had) a B-body car. I asked this question on FBBO a couple of days ago, but no reply so far. I really need to know as soon as possible. The earlier B-body cars used the same dash speaker as our '67 -'76 A-bodies. I need to know if the '70 Coronet uses...

    Headliner and weatherstriping questions....

Your original headliner should be a thin, pressed board style molded to the proper shape. It is held in place with a few clips on the roof rails under metal trim pieces, and it may have a single screw holding it up to the roof framing just above the rear window. Of course, the rearview mirror...

    aftermarket radio install? kits available?

Greg (Mopar to ya), Thanks very much for your plugs for my speaker brackets, and especially for the great side-by-side photo. It's a perfect illustration of the simplicity of adding two front speakers with a new sound system. Lots of folks who buy my brackets do so because they don't have the...

    aftermarket radio install? kits available?

While you're at it, you might consider one of my DUAL-SPEAKER BRACKETS so you can add a pair of quality speakers under your dash for that new stereo. Also, take a look at http://www.customautosound.com and see if one of their Secret Audio systems might suit you. You can install these in the...

Ignition switch light timer - where?

Actually, no, this is in Aaron's '74 Dart Sport with a bench. And you're right, it's not easy contorting this 52 year-old body to get a look under the dash. Dan201, I'll take you up on the offer for the pics. I would like my curiosity to be satisfied, as well.

Ignition switch light timer - where?

You've probably already check your library of wiring diagrams to know this for sure, but if I read mine correctly for Aaron's '74, the delay has a yellow wire. I crawled under the dash and followed a yellow wire from the column until I lost it behind the A/C underdash diffuser (vents). I...

    dash pad removle

Yep, and they are a booger to get to at the correct angle. You can see how tight it is down there in my photo. Actually, the picture needs to be rotated 90 deg. counter-clockwise to be in the right orientation (you can tell by the rubber stop for the glove box). That was the only way I could...
