    1968 340

AVS was the factory carb for that manifold. You may have the wrong size AVS. I'm not an AVS expert.

    Holley dripping gas into barrel

Turn your idle air screws all the way in then bring them out 1 1/4 turn. Blast all your air bleeds with carb cleaner. Turn your curb idle screw way down. Bring your timing up. You need to somewhat baseline the carb. Among other issues mentioned, I doubt you are on the idle circuit anymore.

    Or these small standard caps.

Looking for hubcaps for my 68 barracuda fastback

These are your options for wheelcovers. Standard was a small cap like on my car.

    clone

It would be the perfect car for a clone. For the engine you can stroke a chev 350 and have the 383 you will need.

Need an opinion on a 1967 'Cuda.

    I just posted a 1968, 340, Formula S, 4 speed priced at $14,000.

I know of a 1968, 340 Formula S, Fastback, 4 Speed that the owner would be willing to sell. It's a matching number, low milage car that is very solid. Admittedly it's priced at the high end for it's condition ($20k) but not outlandishly overpriced like that convertible is.

No, it has a 67 front because it was crashed so hard that it required replacement sheet metal to go along with the frame rails, inner fenders and core support.

What you have there is lipstick on a pig. Quickie red paint job (door strikers and other parts weren't masked/removed), some new interior parts and other do-dads to make it look good. Like I said in post #2 "Keep looking." Buying that car will only lead to frustration and a resentment of the...

    Wannabe A-Body Owner

For me, it wouldn't even get to the point of asking that question. Any car with front rail replacement, especially a convertible, should be professionally evaluated before any offer is made. That is a MAJOR structural repair. Incorrectly done or improperly welded and the car could literally...

Or you could say, Nice rider, och välkommen. The internet is amazing. http://translation.babylon.com/english/to-swedish/ JAG tvättar min åsna och sedan hade jag en tv för lunch. Hur gör jag för att få trädet? Jag behöver skapa ljuv kärlek till mitt kylskåp innan min lampa gården i brand.

Deviating from original only matters on performance models. Even then some people won't care.

Welcome. We have several PNW guys here. I'm down in Oregon.

    Need some advice

Lots of red flags popping up there, I wouldn't buy it at all. A $100 paint job and a gallon of body filler can cover $10,000 worth of needed rust repair.

Never. But I have had many comments about how nice it is to see one in a factory color.

    Repainting my 68 Barracuda fastback

I personally don't care for those new colors. Here is my 68 in SS1. Great color in my opinion.

    "new" 1969 Barracuda

Just keep the stock parts if you are worried about value. The weight difference between a 318 and a 340 is insignificant. For suspension a standard rebuild with quality stock parts, coupled with sway bars, 1" torsion bars, subframe connectors and modern gas shocks will transform the car (the...
