Best pass side exhaust manifold part #?

I actually do have the 2 1/2 inch TTI exhaust coming off of those manifolds, in my car. Fit fine. I don't want to go out and snap pics of it right now.

    Accurate Exhaust

You need your 90* adapter clocked in the correct position. Im running stock (1968, 340) manifolds, TTI 2.5" head pipes, and the full size filter. Now it's not the easiest filter in the world to change but I don't need to take anything apart.

    Exhaust Flange rough !

This should work and it's a DIY job.

    Quiet exhaust recommendations?

Another vote for Dynomax Super Turbos but dumping at the rear will work against your goal regardless of muffler choice.

    318 vs 340 exhaust manifolds

The gains would be so small that you would feel like you just pissed away $400-$500.

    Mandrel Bent Headpipes

That dent will not prevent you from running low 13s at all. Your engine won't even notice it. I have the TTI, 2.5" exhaust and 340 Manifolds. My car, exactly as you see it in this pic, wheel covers, E70-14 bias ply tires, and all, ran a 13.2 @ 105 last time I had it at the track. And that...

    Mandrel Bent Headpipes

You have the starter on one side and the torsion bar on the other. The room just isn't there. But the reality is, the dent doesn't matter because the manifold is the restriction.

    Flowmaster drone

I'm with you on this. Flowmaster 40s drone is another one of those things that comes up fairly often but people keep putting them on. Almost like SS springs and the questions about a stiff ride and the car sitting high on one side, but people keep putting them on.

From what I can tell, it's some special mystery muffler often ran in the great American south. That's about all I know. She won't tell me more.

    Need Advice on Exhaust

2 1/4" exhaust with a Carolina Blue Boy. (Now, being from Oregon, I don't even know what a Carolina Blue Boy is. My wife, on the other hand, is from the south. She refers to them all the time. One of the first things she put on her new Chevy truck, back in the day.)

    Exhaust Pipe Diameter 273

If it were my car, given your performance goals, I would go with 2 1/4". I wouldn't even think about using 2 1/2". I would also go with DynoMax Super turbos. I can't stand Flowmasters, but this is personal preference.
  16. 1968FormulaS340

    Exhaust Pipe Diameter 273

Minimum I would put on any V8 is 2 1/4". This will be fine on a stock engine and give you wiggle room for adding more power later. 2 1/4" will support your average street machine, running 13s, all day long. If your future plans include getting more serious, pushing into the low 12s, high 11s...

    collector hangs low

Crank your torsion bars up or get a taller tire, those are your options. Well, you do have a 3rd option....... Move the engine higher in the chassis, this will require significant modification. Which brings you back to...... Crank your torsion bars up or get a taller tire. If your 4" wheel...

Pics of tail pipes under a 340 67,8,9 Barracuda

No pic but I did just walk out and have a look. The pipes come over the rear on the outboard side of the shock and run basically straight back. If yours are inboard of the shock they will not work at all. That space is occupied by the stock tank.
