Every car I built has been the same, bolt it together, drive it to the industrial park(about 2 miles) and test drive the crap out of it. never lost a clutch yet.

Its a glass fender, hood and 1/4 kit put out by a guy named bob hess. He has a similar kit based on a 49-51 ford that goes on a t-bird or cougar. My dad built a modified version of the ford kit and customized it to look like a 55 ford. He showed the car for years.

I love Coronets. Years ago I had a 67 hemi R/T convertible, a 69 superbee and a 65 500 with a 426 wedge.

When I bought my 71 export hemi cuda, it was so bad I had to replace Floors, posts, the roof, 1/4's and so on. But, if it is a rare car you want and have the time to restore it then the question you need to ask is how badly you want it.

Not to stand up for MCG, I don't know them personally, and I have only met them once or twice at Mopar national shows. But, accidents do happen in the proofreading process. We have all seen 69 darts labled as 70's, and Demons listed as Dusters...mistakes happens. NOW, ugly chicks are another...

Its all pressure. I am a painter by profession and paint multiple cars a day so I speak from experience. As long as your mix was correct and your speed was not too slow.

With the hood closed you can't tell what engine is in the car, but you can still see the incorrect stripe and wrong hood scoops.

I drove a lot of Mopars over the years...and a lot of early Mustangs and Shelbys. The K code cars and Shelbys pulled just as hard as my Hemicars.

Either personally or my parents have owned Mopars with these items. My vote would be for the Hemi. I have had 3 Hemi cars: a 69 Superbee, 67 Coronet R/T convertible and a 71 Cuda...all 4 speeds and all great running cars. Just the looks, stories and comments when I would drive one of them was...

Gauges or bezel? I used the Tach man for my gauges, and Mr. G's for for the bezel. Great work...but not cheap. you can find both are online.

My 67 Hemi Coronet R/T was a radio delete car, no speaker and no hole in the fender.

I built a 68 Charger that was dark Brown poly with a gold bumblebee stripe and gold paintfogged in the door recess areas. I painted the engine gold and it looked good. The streetrods I built I paint the engines the same color as the car. The last one was a 34 ford 3 window, that I painted black...

In my opinion, there is no nicer hood on a 70 Dart than the original 340 Swinger hood. Repro scoops are available from year one, paddock, Jacks, etc. Originals pop up on Ebay from time to time too.
