    Sprag could be shot??, your going to have to take that tranny out and go through it, boy I don't envy you doing that job unless you have a hoist, but if your doing it on your back...that's another story good luck!!

    I was told to run it through the radiator like your doing also told that the radiator will warm the tranny fluid and that is supposed to be good. and from what I've read nothing over 190 as the fluid will break down, I have an autometer gauge on mine. and I am running Castrol synthetic ATF-4.

    This is EXACTLY what happened to me, once I put the "C" clips on and reinstalled my drive shaft no more noise for me, hope you find your issue.

    I don't know about good but I have this one: Item# MRE72711 $209.95 private label from Mancini Unfortunatly it is out of stock, has 2200-2500 stall been in my stroker for 2 years no problems so far stalls approx 2300 for me.

    Someone correct me if I am wrong but I thought I read somewhere that only problem is the tailshaft lengths. you would have to disassemble it and swap the shaft from a car 727 into them.

    To me it sounds like you guys are correct, I thinks it's Both Detonation AND U joints. At least without more to go on.

    Adam that link was for a 727, that won't work for a 904 will it?? I have a mancini convertor in my 727 works good so far, but I just street cruise. op has not said what he has or his intended purpose...

    Why not send a pm to John Cope, he is a vendor on here, you have to get a convetor that matches up with the engine and drivetrain ie; cam, compression, rear gears and what you want to do: street, race etc.

    the Lokar setup is easy IMO, I have both kickdown and throttle linkages. you cut the cable to fit. if thats what you meant by easy or hard??

    Make sure you put the extended pickup and filter back on exactly like they came off, I do beleve you can out them back on 180 out and then the hole won't line up for the pickup. just an fyi.

    Yep I have 3:55's also, and mine runs @3500 rpm's at 70mph, so that means sucking alot of gas, IMO either keep the 3:23's or go 3:91 like others have said.

    340/360 Convertor ?

    If you had your 360 internally balanced then yes if not you will need to either add a B&M flexplate or have the weights welded to the convertor, as unless I am mistaking the 340's tq convetor would be internally balanced and won't have the weights welded on it.

    yep Ding ding you win the prize, and not sure what it would be, I used ATF4 Synthetic Castrol in my 727 and it runs perfect. and it will tear your head off when it shifts, no sloppy shifts here.

    I would rebuild the 904 and forget the 727, rebuild kits are around $150.00 and you can possibly rebuild it yourself. my .02

    X2 best money I ever spent...Lokar throttle and kickdown is the best way to go, got mine from Jegs but just about anybody has em.
