    Holley 670 street avenger problem

OK, i got back on this and I took it apart again. Could not find any blocked passages, used compressed air to check. put it all back together and still no squirt. Even if I manually move the pump arm I still get no fuel.:violent1: Soooooo I cheated:) I found a almost new edelbrock 750 on...

    Holley 670 street avenger problem

Thanks for the info. I do believe I have a blockage somewhere. I was trying to fix this without removing the carb but, It looks like I don't have any options. Of course this is my first night back to work for the week so, I have to wait till Sunday to get on this. Thanks for all the advice and I...

    Holley 670 street avenger problem

I just pulled the front bowl and pump is working. It shot fuel out when I worked the lever. I did notice my jets were not tight. Tightened those and put it back together and still no squirt. (:

    Holley 670 street avenger problem

I have a 670 street avenger on a 360. I am having problems starting the car. When cold it will not pump any fuel no matter how many times I pump it. One shot of starting fluid and it fires right up. Looking in the carb I can see that there is no fuel coming from the squirters when trying to...

    edelbrock carb issue

Strokerscamp, It seems you REALLY like th eddie carbs. I got a 750 cfm I'm using as a paper weight right now. I'll sell it to you for a good price:) I'm talking from expirence also, I've ran both eddie and holley on the same engine with no changes and the holley pulled harder and ran smoother...

    edelbrock carb issue

I agree, that filter before the pump has got to go. Never seen that before. Eldelbrock carbs run great on mild engine builds. If your going for performance, edelbrock is not the answer.

    318 tunnel ram street friendly?

Mopardart, Checking your oil once a month is stretching it a little. I'm always checking oil and water levels almost every day. It only takes about 30 seconds and sure helps to prevent failure.

    Cracked intake

Definately a boat anchor........Since it's aluminum I would use it on a very small boat. From the pics it looks like corrosion has been eating away at it for a long time. It looks very thin from the pics.

Can't Get Fuel To The Holley Red

Are you sure the rubber line isn't pinching off under pressure? I'm not sure but it doesn't sound right using rubber line with a high pressure pump.

    Fuel in oil

Sure will. It can dump a bunch if your not expecting it.

    electric fuel pump safety

I ran a electric fuel pump with the oil pressure switch and There was no issues with starting just wiring it in line. Oil pressure comes up so quick it's a mute point.

    Best carb intake setup?

I like the rpm air gap with a Holley street avenger. Nice bolt on parts that don't need alot of adjustments.

    Holley carb jetting 101

The 670 should feel right at home on that setup. I'm running the same carb and it was great right ootb. The only problem I had was just like you I turned the mixture too low causing a lean condition that made it surge and hiccup when driving. As far as the plating falling off, I think that is...

    Fuel Line Options!!

Mine comes up behind the alternator off the mechanical pump. With a small tubing bender and a flairing kit the options are only limited by your own creativity. I am running 3/8" tubing no insulation and never had a problem even in 95 degree weather. Are you sure the fuel isn't cooking in the...

    Holley jet sizes

Are the jets in the primary and secondaries the same on a holley 670 avenger? Do they interchange as long as they are the right size?

    edelbrock to holley conversion

Update: Well, In a thread on ignition I explained that my coil was giving me fits and I thought it was the holley dp I just put on. Me being such a good troubleshooter I went out and got me a 670 street avenger (thankyou IRS)with vac secondaries thinking everyone was right about the mechanical...

    edelbrock to holley conversion

I don't even know Ramcharger, I just bolted it on and that's it. I think If It doesn't perform better than the eddy then I will tear it open and start checking the jets and powervalve sizing.

    edelbrock to holley conversion

Well my holley is in and it didn't want to run well with the PCV not hooked up:) Once I remembered to put it back on the idle came down and just needed a tweak on the mixture screws, adjusted the timing a little, had to put in a new throttle cable. The throttle cable needed changed even before...

    edelbrock to holley conversion

Thanks for the encouragement, I guess that's the whole point. I Don't know anything about holley carbs and I want to learn. I can't think of any better way than throwing one on and playing with it, also finding all the doucumentation and internet sites for holley carbs. If I have trouble with...

    edelbrock to holley conversion

Yes, I did read the Holley website and I even managed to use their carb selector........guess which one showed up? I posted that I bought a 650 dp not a 750dp. I understand your trying to help me but don't try to insult me. I'm just trying to put a carb on my car. Have you read the...

    edelbrock to holley conversion

Goody, now I'm really confused. I thought a spread bore has larger secondaries than the primaries. The square bore has all equal size bores and butterflies. My Holley I just picked up has dual feed and all the butterflies and bores are the same size:read2: I know the Holley carbs can be finicky...

    edelbrock to holley conversion

LOL, I want a Holley because they have better performance than edelbrock. Most everyone tells me that for out of the box drop in and run use the edelbrock. For performance use the Holley. plus it has a really cool dual feed:) I don't have any expierience with Holley carbs but I guess I will now...
