The housing was casted 232rd day of 1973. 30103 would be the supplier I think.

Factory gear ratio with sure grip is 3.23.

I would say 2.93 as standard w/3.23 and 3.55 as option.

Probably 2.93 if it's a 7 1/4 axle.

I'm changing the engine for a friend of mine. A 72 Duster with cracked 225 with 904. The issue is that I have put together a 225. But the hole in th crankshaft where the converter goes is too small on the new engine. Question is; does a converter from 1965 fit into a 1972 904 tranny...

I'm in the process to connect the shifting arms from the steering column to the transmission. Is there any differences between the abody and the bbody shifting arms on the tranny? A close up picture of the transmission shifting arms would be sweet! Thanks FABO!

I'm pretty sure it can be done. I just did it on my 7 1/4 axle last night. However you need to find a place so you can get out the stud from behind. The oposite for mounting it. Good luck! :burnout:

Yepp, the 340 will take care of it. If you compare cost, availibility and value the 340 would be the most interesting. When you rev it up you know what I mean
