    Relocating the coil

Unless you have a oil filled coil, always mount it with the terminal and the wire to the dist, pointing down. Yes, upside down. This the electrons are helped by gravity and you get better output. :)

    Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulation

Used the same info to do my 66 Barracuda. Bench tested it, got exactly the right voltage. Cost me about $8.00. I had fun doing it. Saved money, had fun and made an improvement, what not to like? Mike

    Ballast Resistor Why?

I have read the 1966 FSM that I have and understand the Ballast Resistor changes the amount of current and this helps extends the contact life. I went thru some GM tune up training classes in the early 70's. They didn't have anything like it. I don't think Ford did either. Any real ideas why...

    Soda blasting Alt.?

I want to clean the outside of the Alt. that came with my donor engine. It's a mid 70's square back. I don't have a way to remove the pulley. Could I soda blast it without taking it apart? I would use regular baking soda and as little pressure as possible. If I did this, could I just hose...

    slant 6 to 340.....new harness?

The wires on my 66 Barracuda were getting OLD! As I was mocking up my 360, I just started to layout all new wires for the engine. Used one size larger wire for each. Got the new ends for the firewall block at NAPA. Just something to think about.

    How do you do that?????

I am ready to clean up the dist. that was in my donor engine. The only book I have for the year of the engine is a med. size Hayes. It shows that there is a retaining ring at the top of the shaft. This is inside the well you see when you remove the rotor. I think I can see the retaining ring...

    Ampmeter into Voltmeter?

I've got a 66 Barracuda and don't really want to change any of the gauges. I've seen a lot of threads about removing the Ampmeter, no problem there. Couldn't you just hook "voltmeter" wires to the gauge? I know it will show movement to the positive when power is applied. I think you could...
