WHERE DID U PUT UR AFTERMARKET STEREO & SPEAKERS

Just remember when it comes to modern stereo anything being visible in a classic car.....it'll look completely out of date in 5-10 years. My preference is to have everything hidden or at least only hack into things that are easily fixed. You'd be surprised at how good a cheap bluetooth...

AM radio to Bluetooth.. or other ideas.

I attempted this with a thumbwheel radio and couldn't get it to work. The little nylon gears for the thumbwheels just weren't quite strong enough to turn the knob on the bluetooth module consistently. It's definitely a doable job for a knob radio like the one you've got.

A MOUNTAIN OR A MOLE HILL...........

They've been destroying my nice yard too. I've been battling them back with these. I bought a few sets before inflation damn near doubled the price of them. They do the trick but you really need to lay out more than one or two to ensure you catch them.

    Method for Starting a Project

I like to tear it all the way down. Lose a bunch of parts. Buy a bunch of expensive parts and then sell the parts and the car for way less than I bought them for.

    POWDER COATING COST

It's a paint but yeah I've had parts outside in partial sun and it's still a few days it seems to fully cure. Try testing it out because my memory could be failing me but it's definitely not dry enough for install after 24 hours. I painted my Duster steelies with it and the paint held up a good...

    POWDER COATING COST

Same, I've been using this stuff for years. It doesn't lay down the smoothest but it's the next toughest thing I've found next to powder coating. You're right about it drying. I feel like it takes a good 5 days to really fully cure but once it does, it's rock hard.

    Gas tank cleaning

$1100 lol I'd rather look into this one. Do some research online. Maybe you can find it cheaper or with free shipping. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/amd-890-1071

    Gas tank cleaning

Spectra is usually the go to tank. Back in the day I used purple cleaner and threw a chain in the tank and shook it around. Seemed to work pretty well and it's easy to get a chain out of the tank. Removed nearly all the varnish and had no issues with bad fuel after that.

What is everyone’s opinion of wide body flares?

Do up a car like this with flares and it would work if that's your thing. But if you just put them on a mostly stock or just slightly modified body, it'll look goofy. It's basically an all or nothing thing in my opinion.

Sure do miss Good ole SUPER SHOPS. ---- Every Bowtie part you could ever want!

Tognotti's in Sacramento is still around. Haven't been there in 15 years but the recent reviews online for the place are horrid. Wouldn't doubt it if they went out of business because of their customer service alone.

    My daughter's first car show!

Awesome and the vintage Coleman cooler is a nice touch.

MOPAR Cans Of Spray Paint. All Colors. $1.50 A Can. Sacramento, CA. Area. NOT MINE.

I saw those cans when I stopped in there a couple weeks ago. They're mostly all modern colors. I picked up a couple cans of the equivalent to B7 so we'll see what they look like if I ever need them. Was hoping they'd have some engine colors but they did not. That store is actually pretty cool...

BEWARE of doing business with 340bird71

I always use Paypal and don't send through the "friends and family" option. Paypal is really good about refunding the money for the buyer. Almost too good sometimes because I've heard just as many stories about the seller sending perfectly fine goods and the buyer still filing a claim with...

BEWARE of doing business with 340bird71

I'm guessing not from well known members, right? I got screwed by a guy with less than 30 posts a few years back but luckily Paypal refunded me my money. Also got screwed by "Uncle Tony" when he sold me a rusty spare tire well to replace my rusty spare tire well. Other than that everyone has...

BEWARE of doing business with 340bird71

The guy is an *** for outright lying about the condition of the engine. Your friend isn't too bright for looking at pictures of a rusty 340 and thinking he's going to get a rebuilt 340 for $1200 just because the wording in the ad says it's rebuilt. One doesn't need the heads off or a bore scope...

    BigBoy 68

Just seems like an awful lot of work on his part for a few hundred dollars here and there. A minimum wage job would net you more money in less amount of time than it does to try and get over on people.

Pics of Duster/Demon with +2” rear springs.

Sorry it took so long to respond. Yours looks nice and balanced there. I think it looks good. Mine is a slant six car and had really saggy springs for 99% of the miles I put on it. I actually like the jacked up look in the back because it makes it look like it could potentially do something...

I'm out of town for work but I can get you one by the end of the week if you aren't planning on buying them in the next couple days.

I don't have 28" drag radials but I do have +1" springs and the car sits quite a bit higher than I was expecting.

    Very impressed with gas mileage

I have a feeling the gas pump just shut off before the tank was full. Either that or the car has a serious OD gear in it. I daily drove a slant for over 100k miles and did every gas mileage mod under the sun and averaged 20-21mpg if I didn't get on the gas hard. That was with a 904 trans. Best...

    Heater Box

I've never had my dash out to really get a good look but it looks ok to me. Both my A bodies have the floor vent on the transmission hump basically sitting on the carpet so I don't see a problem with your install. Cowl vent looks sealed as well. If your blower motor and heater core tubes are...

    Heater Box / Cowl Seal

Maybe just add a piece of this to the top of the current seal? Cheap and you won't have to deal with the cleanup of RTV if you ever remove it again. This stuff squishes down quite a bit...
